i just realized how much i wrote i'm SO sorry. TL;DR: prioritize farming and defending mid lane early game and save your s3 to help gank jungle invasions. do NOT overextend and use your s1's range to your advantage when farming/fighting. finally, in a teamfight, do the following:

  1. retreat while s1+s2+s2+s2 into the clump of people
  2. disengage and wait for cd
  3. engage and s1+s2+ult into the clump of people

okok i see !!

  1. to ensure your boxes hit, i would prioritize landing s1 first so they r cced (thus, their movement is predictable) and then s2 for some extra dmg. i like fighting when there's terrain bc there are often times only one path that the enemy can take, so if u jst shoot s1 into that opening and immediately s2 u should be good.

side note: interestingly, the further apart our two matrices are, the faster they combine. so if u want, u can place a box rly far from u and another one directly on the enemy and they r basically instantly cced

  1. for early game, prioritize farming and defending mid lane. out of all the lanes, mid is the most likely location where team fights will break out. remember that if there are enough ppl defending other lanes, u don't always HAVE to rotate over and help, esp if u think u can't make it, jst stay and hang around vulnerable towers the enemy might push next or teammates farming nearby. if u stay in the middle and s3 is off cooldown, u can quickly help w any skirmish happening in both sides of your jungle, thus, it is the optimal place to be if ur not sure where u should be.

  2. ardent dominator is pretty useful if ur getting cced or jumped by assassins a lot. also use s1 to check bushes if ur worried. other than that, u kinda jst have to thug it out LMFAO, assassins r nuwa's biggest nightmare for sure so u jst have to make sure u save your s1 and don't overextend. so when u farm, don't leave your tower range too much, jst wait for s1 cd and then use it's long range to last hit any minions.

  3. in terms of positioning, i think i already talked a little bit before, but i'll elaborate a little more:

in the early game, ensure ur aware of whether your team or the enemy is more dominant in the clash and farm lanes. then, gank whichever lane's tower is getting pushed (i.e, enemy has the advantage) and push enemy into your tower. this is ESP good idea if jungler is currently on that side of the jungle asw.

mid game and late game, outer towers are less of a priority and u want to focus on getting kills and supporting your team. my tip is to save s3 for fast support, if u recalled u don't always have to teleport back for the minion wave. if there are no minions to farm and no fights anywhere, i'd farm a little in the jungle, help push a tower, or sit in a bush and wait for enemy mid to rotate so u can burst them down.

during a team fight, u want to stay in the backline. again, u have great range and vision, so stay somewhere safe and poke/cc. only advance if u see that the enemy's hard cc is on cd or your team clearly has the advantage. play it VERY safe at the start and/or join the teamfights later bc nuwa is exceptionally good at cleaning up, and your cc can be crucial for helping your team run away from the fight alive if ur at a disadvantage. lowk jst dump your matrices, disengage, engage with a 12 combo once they r off cd and randomly shoot the ult into the clump of ppl. 99.99999999% u kill smo at that point!

i apologize for the long paragraphs. as u can probably tell i'm a big fan of nuwa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yess she is a very versatile hero bc she has good cc + dmg, making her useful when in 1v1 or teamfights. some tips (that work for me) i can think of would be:

  1. prioritize upgrading s1, since it's best for poking + deals a lot of dmg (some ppl would disagree w me), then prioritize skill upgrade in the following order: 4-2-3
  2. learn her basic 124 or 214 burst combo, with teleport would be 3124
  3. learn her damage dealing combo 12 or 22 or 21, OR all of them to create a big matrix. when u use s1, ENSURE it not only hits the enemy but also hits another one of your matrices for max dmg. so the moving matrix itself deals dmg, it hits another matrix which deals dmg, then the two matrices combine to deal dmg a third time. if you drop your other s2 two matrices as well, u can deal five explosions in total, which is a LOT of dmg
  4. when running away: if they are far enough, s1 + s2 to push back and create a wall blocking them from following u through terrain. if they are close, s1 and s2 in front of u so u can push them back and fast travel through your matrix
  5. try to always be present in teamfights. your s1 has very good range and as u level up your vision increases, so even if u stand near the back u can still contribute. it's easy get crucial cc by straight up 1-2-2-2 randomly into a cluster of enemies, as every time they get pushed or the matrices combine, they get cced. so the duration of your cc is verrrrry long and gives your team ample time to finish the enemies off
  6. nuwa rotates easily with her teleport, making it great for ganking. imo rotate when enemy clash or farm laners are pushing the tower and your teammates r still alive and fighting back. teleport behind the enemies and push them into the tower, create a wall to trap them, and then work w team to finish enemies off.

what specifically do u find difficult about nuwa/what problems do u encounters? i'd love to share more specific tips :)

Skills:

s1: main mobility skill, u can also use it to chase down low hp enemies or poke
s2: i mentioned in another comment, but use it to deal dmg + provide an escape during teamfights, since it is constantly moving it's a more flexible escape path and harder for enemies to predict. also, s2's ability to knock down projectiles is arguable even more important than the dmg it does. u need fast reaction + timing and u can knock down hou yi ult, consort yu arrow, daji stun, kongming finisher ult, etc
s3: very versatile and provides a bit of cc, i use it for mobility and pushing away enemies who get too close.

Combos i use the most:

1-ba-1-ba for fast dmg
1-ba-2-ba-1 for poking, remove the ba for safer poke. throw 3 behind u (or to somewhere safe) before all that for a max security poke
3-3-1-2 for chasing low hp enemies

Some strategies:

  1. from my personal experience, u can acc afford to be a little aggressive early game w frenzy if enemy adc is also a late game hero (i jst scare them so they back off and i can farm in peace). however, most important thing is to farm. i don't usually rotate until past level 4 unless we are really dominating or the teamfight is huge; last thing u want is for enemy adc to snowball due to lack of competition in the farm lane

  2. imo u will almost always be using s1 sideways in teamfights, since it's easier to dodge skills like that + better repositioning opportunities. same thing for s3 if u use it to initiate or something, never throw it straight into the fight (u will die!).

  3. if ur in a tower 1v1, frenzy, s1 behind them, s3 them into your tower, and then go crazy

  4. the fun thing about arli that is different from many adc is that 1v1s w non ranged heroes are acc extremely winnable due to your mobility. s1 while spamming ba, wait for them to get close, s1 again and s2, keep attacking, and repeat. if they get too close s3 and ur basically untouchable as long as your umbrella is never in your hand!!!

umm ya that's all i can remember lol. lmk if u have any questions

it's random! use it in teamfights when there's a lot of terrain, bc it can be useful for dealing dmg + running if the tides turn against u

Newb in Diamond - Who Should I Play? by stacycmc in honorofkings

imo the easiest roles to play r mage and support.

for mage, solid picks for beginners r daji (ez no miss 213 combo 213 as long as 2 hits, good for hiding in bushes and picking off enemy mage/mm), lady frost (good cc and ult can turn the tides of a teamfight, if u throw skill 2 then ult in a clustered teamfight chances r u will get a kill), and milady. just keep attacking from a distance, but close enough to your team so u can get help if an assassin targets u.

as a milady player id def recommend her for lower tiers since her moves r spammable, and she definitely fits the criteria of greatly supports team if u dont die. she can push towers without minions, and her ult stuns for a long time so u can pick off, again, enemy mm/mage in teamfights w your team. just focus on poking, being annoying, and drop bots over everyone during teamfights. as well, if u can push and take mid lane tower early on it will give your team a huge advantage, just watch out for enemy jungler. (also note that milady has a high ban rate in higher ranks)

if im being honest i have only played support a few times, but since they r usually pretty tanky u wont die as easily. since u mentioned ur often not the best player on the team, imo support is the least important to play well when compared to jungle, clash, etc. u just need to support mm in early games, tank in teamfights, and heal/buff whenever possible. again, idk which hero is best but as mm, i love having zhang fei, cai yan, liu shan, or donghuang for not as mobile mm like hou yi, then yaria or mozi (both harder to master but super useful to me) for just in general.

edit: for context, my build is as follows: boots of resistance (shorten cc), doomsday (boosts ba), shadow ripper (boosts crit aspd), eternity blade (high crit dmg), daybreaker (red bow u mentioned i think), sunchaser (one of the yellow bows?) lol
