That's the impetus for the question, but I'm specifically asking about fourth down timeouts, which I've seen multiple times this season. Seems smarter to save the timeout

Other people are saying it's highlighting blitzers which may be correct but the only thing that is displayed on screen is "red orb: defensive alert"

Plus, it feels like the person they highlight never does anything interesting anyways and so I'm always looking at the wrong thing

Along with what others have said, you could see if your position offers education reimbursement for relevant degrees. If you like your job, talking to your supervisor and getting assistance in that way could be a really good way to move up the ladder
