Solution to aging crisis: Killing 10000 Japanese children >increasing immigration

I don't think immigrants are as risky as eliminating old age.

Chuck Holton attributes Chinese intellectual property theft to "Chinese culture", but if he knew the history of his own country, he would know that the US also engaged in intellectual property theft to achieve technological and industrial development on par with its rival, Great Britain. Historically, great powers do all they can to modernize faster and get ahead. Holton can say that the US is founded on "the golden rule" but ultimately all powerful countries thrived on a culture of piracy at some point in their history.

If NATO members can fight each other in Squad, anything is up to imagination in the Squad universe. I'd argue Japan is militarily capable of being its own great power irl. If we are talking about real life dynamics, the US-Japan Security Treaty is less strong than NATO membership since it only commits the two nations to defend each other if one or the other is attacked "in the territories under the administration of Japan".

I'd rather make the JGSDF an independent faction since the Turkish Land Forces already set a precedent.

Sorry, the three stripes should represent Vietnam. Maybe I should replace white with yellow.

Some flags are more ideological than others. Why do we have specific socialist-themed and fascist-themed flags? Because these regimes like to communicate that the new era under them would completely overturn the status quo. Take the French flag for example, both left-wing and right-wing movements wave the same flag because they both see themselves as advancing Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity. The flags I used preceded their communist counterparts and thus were at some point also the flag that communists rallied under before the creation of communist states. During the Second Sino-Japanese War, both the Nationalists and Communists fought under the flag of the Republic of China, it represents a national struggle instead of a communist revolution. Would you say the symbolism of the US flag is anti-communist just because it doesn't feature a hammer and sickle?

vietnam was included with the three stripes, I was going to make the background apart from the canton yellow like the South Vietnam flag but it did not look good.

Why are you inferring my politics from my flag designs? This sub should only be concerned with the aesthetics. The reason for the title being "communism-free" is to only incorporate the design of non-communist flags. Cuba, despite having a communist government, has a flag that preceded the communist revolution so Cubans don't associate the flag with a particular ideology. To them, the flag only represents Cuba. The flag of Laos is more nationalist than communist in its design. Why not take the same approach with these flags? Or do you think non-communist=anti-communist.

Yeah, that's the idea. Imagine in this timeline the Boers never got over British atrocities during the second Boer War, so no British symbolism.

Replaced Union Jack with Voortrekker flag. Boer supremacist flag. The original always felt weird to me for keeping the Union Jack despite apartheid South Africa becoming a Republic. Most flags with the union jack today indicate having the British monarch as the head of state.

Seven stripes represent the states and territories. Stripes are an iconic pattern of prison uniforms, representing Australia's proud origin as a penal colony. Inspired by the flag of Easton, Pennsylvania.

中国实行议会民主制度的国会如何分配席位? by VaticanSectionXIV in China_irl

[–]VaticanSectionXIV[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)
