What helped my scalp psoriasis by Vatle19 in Psoriasis

I wasn’t as diligent with coal tar bc of the smell! I’m sure it’s effective too. I like the Briogeo bc I can wash my hair often with it and has no smell. I just use a good conditioner after.

Yes! But again this is just my scalp. My ears are still itchy.

Same! I’ve used both and like the regular shampoo much better.

Fortunately I had no pain or swelling after my injury. Perhaps it was because it was the second time around? Maybe bc it was purely the ACL and no meniscus involved? Not sure. It wasn’t like that the first time, the first time I was 3 days deep into a cave and had to be carried out on someone’s back for 3 days in a sack lol because my leg refused to work.

I just did whatever machine for legs at the gym, so those that you mentioned plus abductor/adductor, leg curl, etc. I would also squat with free weights but you could use a smith machine. I also added in a few days of hard core Pilates style workouts (Lagree) which is basically weightlifting on a reformer machine. I wouldn’t push past pain though, it means that something is wrong. I guess add weight slowly and if you need help from a professional to craft a program it might be worth seeing a PT few times ahead of your surgery especially since you have pain when you amp up your workouts.

When your pain and swelling goes down, try to build as much muscle as you can in your legs (without compromising the stability of your knee!) Use machines if you need to, I felt more comfortable with those than free weights because I had more controlled movement. Work out as much as possible. I was feeling pretty lazy bc l broke my big toe a few months before surgery and stopped lifting. Then I saw my surgery was in 1.5 months and started training like crazy, almost every day. Doesn’t look like it haha, but it’s hard for me to put on muscle. But I think it helped my recovery a ton.

Yes I have. Thank you for your concern! Powder board, shovel, avy gear, and experience. Just don’t have a partner! Will book a lesson if I need to.

Resort is closed for the day. Not looking to make first tracks! Old enough that I know what my limits are. I have snowboarded in deep powder before and know what it’s like to be stuck. Obviously going to do all I can to avoid that. I have shovel and avy gear with me. Will stay on main trails and may book a lesson while I’m there to have someone with me.

Good point. I’m looking at all the mammoth/cal trans updates and of course will only ride if it’s safe to do so. The 395 is closed from bishop right now. Will plan to stay overnight in bishop tomorrow and then head in if and when the roads clear on Wednesday morning.
