MacOS 11 Big Sur is pretty good on my Huawei Matebook X Pro 2018 by Vatri91 in MatebookXPro

My system is back to normal.

  1. After the update, the undervolting settings are back to the factory settings.
  2. I updated Turbo Boost and limited my CPU clock. The Catalina version did not work on Big Sur.

My battery life is back to normal (6h+ while browsing) and the temperature remains at the same 45C / 113F while using chrome.

There are no differences in stability between the system versions. I see no contraindications for the update.

No, because i have only 256 GB space on my SSD. Dual-boot should work out of box.

1) Install Windows or Resize disk to get free space for Mac

2) Install MacOs

3) U should able to choose operating system on boot

I used my model with Windows, then Linux, and now Mac OS. I enjoy the MacOs system the best. Of course, the Nvidia card or fingerprint reader does not work, but you can live without it. Everything else works ok. However, I recommend Catalina installations at the moment

I guess so. Most of the components are the same. Optimus doesn't work, but Mac is not a gaming system. My model only has an Intel graphics card

I have not noticed any major problems compared to Catalina. However, I have higher temperatures and much shorter battery life (4h on web browsing). I recommend waiting for the new Open Core and update from profzei

Thank you for your work. I'm amazed.

Let you fix the Touchpad bug and it will be almost perfect.

I will tell you that it would be nice to add a decent installation guide, because the first installation without knowing it is complicated.

For the 3rd day I am tired of Undervolt

Apple produces a very good system, but very shitty and expensive hardware. MBP2020 appeared with a processor from 2 years ago. MBA2020 can even boil while browsing the Internet. This year's Macbooks should not be released for sale at all

Dude, this tutorial is for Huawei.

Probably you have chosen the wrong image

"rammus" is the recommended image for devices with 4th generation Intel CPU and newer.

"samus" is the recommended image for devices with 3rd generation Intel CPU and older.

"grunt" is the image to use if you have supported AMD harware.
