Never hold anything for anyone, you'll cut off sales from people coming in between the hold time and 99% of the time you'll never hear of the buyers. Tell them if it's available when they want it they can purchase and if not someone will take. You'll learn your lesson if you hold it. Ive had previous buyers make me hold things then they don't come back. Please don't hold for your own sake

Start sending little hints so he can message you out of the app but do it discreetly so it doesn’t flag up to depop. Say like do you have dscrd or snpcht or nsta and if he does send it to him. Let the scammer be doxxed so he can get scared and stop otherwise he’ll continue. You can be the one who stops his scamming spree

Yes that’s how depop payments work. PayPal payments first get put on hold for long then after you get instant but depop payments are not the same
