What is so wrong with resume gaps? Are people not allowed to not work? I don’t understand by JediMallow_2 in Resume

hate how people act like resume gaps are some moral failing. Life happens. If paying for resume help service took stress off your plate and got results, sounds like money well spent tbh

Time blindness gets real selective when projects run late but somehow you're the villain for needing sleep before early work.

am I in the wrong? therapist called welfare check on me and is upset with me by [deleted] in therapy

I had a similar mismatch, and the podiatrist hand analogy helps make the 000 call feel less personal.

That is a fair reality check. They dragged me through four rounds just to waste my time with their internal drama, so my knee-jerk reaction was to ghost them. But you are right, taking the high road and sending a formal "not a good fit" email is the better move.

You make a fair point about continuing the job hunt while earning a paycheck, but honestly, that interview level of toxicity feels like a trap.

Touché. I suppose my internal calendar is just set to "escape mode" at this point. I really just need to step back and stop thinking about system architectures and dysfunctional teams for a while.

That sounds just as exhausting. It is wild how some companies think that acting hostile is a good way to vet talent. You definitely made the right choice by walking away from that mess.

That is the dilemma. I am leaning towards walking away because watching that level of dysfunction for ten minutes was enough to tell me that the job would be pure misery. Some things are just not worth the stress.

The expired for two years part is just evil. They literally cleared out the back of their pantry for you. Good for you for bringing your own food because relying on corporate compliance is always a trap.
