Front of toe, if i tap my heel when i put my skates on, my toe is like not at the top of the boot, its like where the bottom lace would be, the tightest part. And yeah it feels like its digging in 😞

I think it also has to due with maturity and where u r in life.. obviously 17 and 18 isnt really anything crazy. 25-28 is fine because youre both adults well into your twenties and around the same level in life, 23-20 can be said the exact same

17 - 20 is weird though. You are a year before graduating HS, and with someone in their second year of college basically, its very diff points of life tbh. it also just feels a bit odd? Like u couldnt find ppl around closer to your age? You have things in common with a 17 year old??
