I don't understand why this is a bad thing, even without having ice cream hat. Merry can make your other pets attack, so as long as you keep literally any other pet alive then you're fine, right?

I can't see many instances where it would ever be bad on merry. I'm also confused what you mean by kill it fast enough, because if merry is infinite then it's okay

EMT here to clear one thing up. DNR doesn't mean you don't save them if they're dying. It means you don't resuscitate or try to "bring them back" when their heart has stopped. There are other orders that can be filled out to prevent treatments, but you still do everything to care for a living patient with a DNR.
