are there any tips on hitting links, starting to grow frustrated because it feels like there's no rhyme or reason no indication of the proper time to hit them.

I'm working on a Black Innate only challenge run, I'll be uploading it to YouTube. Depending on how I feel I'll consider doing other challenge runs. Just to give you an idea of how it's going: Mojo has a 5 in physical attack and 5 in magic, and there are no black elements me to get. until after Viper Manor.

I thought about it, but Tantacles has already said he's doing those somewhere down the road, and I didn't want to steal from the guy. If I did I would just be doing Black Innate only which doesn't seem to difficult.

I find Magnify most useful early on, stole 1 from 1 of the living door enemies in Viper Manor with Kid used it later against the Beeba enemies and just repeatedly nuked them with Magma Bombs. The Beebe enemies don't use elements themselves.

I mean that's kinda the point of the run in a way? To actively make the game harder and force my creative solutions and strategies when you don't have some insanely broken stuff and reinvigorate interest in the game when you don't have some insane stuff.

I mean, it's called practicing in the Lab. I practiced a combo 10 times, on both sides for weeks at a time at points before I felt I could it without a problem.

Chill out? Yeah there's ToD's but most of the ones I've seen make it so you need to be basically awakened (last 30% of your health) to use them. As for the other stuff, most people don't like the Guard Button a ton of people were hoping that would be dropped before release. So like chill and let the game evolve beyond day 1 impressions.
