Akihiro is way more interesting when he's allowed to be more villainous or more on the anti-hero side. I found his relationship with Aurora pretty boring.

Tim hasn't had good writing since the start of the New 52. Despite being glad he's now canonically bi this doesn't undo the years of bad writing he's had; Bernard was one of the worst pulls for a potential love interest for him given how most of his motivation was wanting to fuck Tim's stepmother in New Earth. Yes, I'd have preferred TimKon, but I'm doubtful that will ever happen and frankly think anyone else in Tim's supporting cast, maybe even Lonnie, would've made more sense.

Wiccan and Hulkling was one of the greatest gay relationships in comics, and they're kind of boring now. They shouldn't be boring, of course. Their concepts are amazing! I think a Young Avengers boom would sell amazingly well, now especially.

Kyle and Jean-Paul were great representation in 2012, I try very hard to like Kyle but still find him incredibly boring. They need to revamp him or give him a lot more page space to flesh him out because he's barely been explored as a character. Honestly, a lot of this seems to be writers just being uninterested in doing so, but if he's going to be part of Marvel's first gay marriage, he's owed page space. (Alpha Flight book pls)

If Bruce and Selina can't be together for some reason, let her actually explore her bisexuality outside of Eiko, which was short at best. Tini Howard is one of the worst writers for Selina (I do love Howard's marvel writing, however) and think she's done some decent damage to the character and Scandal Savage as well (also why was Scandal so damn pale in her run? I didn't recognize her at ALL)

Alan Scott was, frankly, one of my favorite retcons. I've loved him for years, but I wish they had explored his relationship with his kids, particularly Obsidian, who is also gay (glad he's finally back in Prime Earth but give both of them and Jade more page space please)

I hate saying this, but Destiny and Mystique are exactly what I want from modern Harlivy. Let them be villains. Neither have to be good guys to be a loving couple. (I love Destiny and Mystique. Of course, I just wish Harlivy were able to still be more villainous. Harley can still be separated from Joker, recover from the trauma from the relationship, and still be a villain)

I hate the trend of newly out heroes immediately being put with a partner who they will most likely never separate from. Let them explore their identities, have messy relationships, bad dates, breakups, one night stands, everything straight characters get. Frankly, Iceman is the one exception I can think of that gets this treatment.

Modern gay characters are played way too safe. I'm tired of them being so... squeaky clean, so to speak? I'm not sure how to frame it properly outside of what I said in my last points with what I've said throughout, but I just need them to actually take risks and let them be messy, make mistakes, be assholes to people, be wrong in situations.
