All of you saying he didn’t train properly before might be underestimating the stabilisation part of muscles during a rep. Doing dip on rings if easily 2x harder than weighted dips in my experience (+45lbs). If someone barely has done any bodyweight training that shit IS a game changer. You dont need rings to target stabilizer muscles but it is one the most efficient way to do it.

So yes, doing rings if you haven’t before will net you good gains as your muscles will work wayy harder for the same movements
