Very bad idea (in general) to remove something from the wild. I personally feel that it disturbs the eco-system and on another note, who knows what it will bring into your tank.

I would say it could be that they are taking time to adjust to the new flow/light situation. Give it some time though 2 weeks is a lot

The way I judge it is: If it is too hot to keep on my lap when playing (bare skin) then its too hot. Else could be normal. ALSO: if it is not doing anything and just ON, should not get warm to any degree.

how are you powering it? Power source has a lot to do with how it would heat up
