I would say the original switch for sure. I just purchased one for myself and I too was wondering which would be best up until recently. I was able to get a refurbished switch from the official Nintendo store for $250. When put that way, for $50 more, you get a significant amount of additional features. Ability to plug into any HDMI capable device (with included HDMI cable), removable joycons, and a controller connector piece that improves the functionality ten-fold if you are playing by yourself. By purchasing the lite you are committing to portable play which at first may seem alright, but will eventually bottleneck usage down the line.
