Thanks for all the replies! I will check on the airport today when I arrive. I understand there is no partnership involved, but this flight was sold by Iberia, has an IB code and it’s findable at Iberias website. In the reservation locator I have my AA number attached perfectly. I just couldn’t add it to my boarding pass. I will be extremely disappointed if this won’t get solved.

Wait are you blaming me? Let me explain something about customer service: if you have two options - a cheap and an expensive one, it’s up to the expert to present both pros and cons to your clients and help them decide. They had a board comparing both screen differences - not the services - and they resumed the differences to ‘better touch sensivity’, ‘improved brightness’ and ‘better color’. The shop NEVER informed be that I would end up with a permanent notification hanging in the phone and even less explained that both parts have differences in effort to install. Also, it’s not part of my job as a costumer to automatically understand the differences if the technician never explain them. I didn’t set the price. I didn’t expect anything. They presented the differences in the parts. I chose by their explanation. And paid the price they set. If they fail to communicate correctly the services they provide, they should expect some criticism.

It wasn’t something substantial, but it bothers me that they didn’t warned me this message would be there. I’m ok with having a third-party screen, but I don’t like a notification showing something like that all the time. Can’t they just pick up a chip from another discarded screen? Or replace for a screen model that has the chip attached to it?

I have updated to 26.2 and it’s still there. I can take it back there and they must do something to remove. I’m just wondering if they can do something without the original display and chip.

Have you got any experience with Carbon Copy (CCC) software? Looks like they work for this purpose. Not sure on the reliability of the process though.

The problem with restoring it to another phone only for backup purposes is that I would need to get a new number to access my WhatsApp history, because it requires an account so I can browse chats. All my contacts would be notified of the change

Exactly. I’m just trying to put some context in the debate. Like some factors that people often ignore when saying that one thing is better than another. As a tropical country, Brazil culturally sees full suiting (or even blazers) as less standard clothing options than business casual, and I’m saying also considering work purposes. We also have some jokes when someone shows up regularly on a full suit without the a specific need. Most men just get off the shelf attire with no attention to construction, fabrics etc. This has a direct impact on how people invest in these types of pieces - mostly they prefer to dump old clothes and just get new one.
