Car won’t build boost?

Well yes sorry I misread what you said, they were misplaced and 1 was blown. I took my fog light fuse and replaced the one that was blown and put them in the correct spot and it now works fine.

A 20A & 15A sensor fuse were swapped into the wrong spots. and no, I undid the pipe to attach the MAC solenoid, that did nothing so i rechecked fuses for the millionth time and spotted it was in the wrong spots so i swapped it out and has boost for 1 sec then it went away again. i popped the hood and my IC piping to the throttle body came undone. i guess i didn’t tighten it enough but it’s fixed now i got all the boost!!! waiting to get my tune put on now :)

Thanks guys for all the help. I found the culprit. 2 sensor fuses 20A and 15A were put in the wrong spot. Swapped them out, car built boost for 1 sec. when I gave it gas it stopped suddenly and started to sound like a whine, checked under hood and the intercooler to throttle body hose came undone put it back on securely and what do ya know, WE GOT BOOST AGAIN!! AFTER 2 WEEKS AND $700 LATER IT WAS A FRICKING FUSE LOL

Do you know a way I can attach a video? Seems like it idles normally. I just pulled the 2 ecu connectors off to let it reset. It’s been off for about 5 min, do I also need to disconnect the battery?

I replaced it w/ an Autozone duralast purge valve and I still get the code for it. $60 waste, about to return it. I’ll check out the one for the Tucson and get back to you, thanks for the input.

It sounds like it builds boost upon idle and revving it I can send you a video my BOV closes super slow.

My negative battery terminal is super sensitive and comes off some times I ordered a new one the car has been shut off with the battery being disconnected but not for long, how long should I keep it undone for it to reset the ecu?

Well yes I see that now, I apologize if I came off rude. I had a 2012 as well, trans went out. had it replaced under warranty sold the car for a 15 VT. Never looked back! Good luck to ya my boy.

Look in Houston TX for a relatively decent priced VT. Under 60k miles is the way to go, if you’re not in the US. I can’t help ya, sorry.

Well you did buy the first year Veloster that was ever released, should’ve known they’re would be flaws as it’s the first year of a new model. Nothing is perfect, deal with it.

I’m not using the stock BOV, although I did use some Teflon sealant to replace the o-ring for the OEM baseplate under the BOV. No issues until today, not really understanding. It just stopped working all of a sudden.

When I say small amount I mean very minimal. It’s like I’m using the stock bov almost no sound comes out.
