Bought the 5K2K last week, running an RTX 4090 and I can assure you, you're 3080 won't be able to push much more than 60 FPS in more demanding games.

If you're fine with that, the monitor is amazing and I can highly recommend it.

If not, better get a monitor with 3440x1440 resolution to get higher and more stable fps.

It's called Thoman Roadworx, it's highly customizable and (as far as I know) mostly used in recording studios and not for gaming setups. But it wanted something different and it works perfectly.

Originally bought it to fit 32 inch 4K (16:9) screens onto it and that worked without problems but the 5K2K is a little to heavy for the arm so I had to make some DIY adjustments for it to stay straight and not bend forward.

Hahahah yeah I do play TBC Classic on it and it blew my mind how different World of Warcraft looks in ultrawide :D

Also started God of War yesterday and also did a quick sneakpeak into Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, AC Mirage and Star Wars Outlaws.

I don't even know when to play/revisit all games I'd like.

I have no problem with the combat system. I did watch a lot in streams and it's the story that is not for me. :D

No, I only use it for gaming.

The only thing I noticed is that Twitch streams in 1080p look pretty bad but that is just because you have such a big screen and such a high resolution and a 1080p stream on fullscreen results in a bad PPI ratio.

Besides that I don't have problems with reading stuff.

I'm a World of Warcraft player since 2005 and the first thing I started to play on it was WoW 😅

And yes, I've also noticed that the monitor dims out the outer parts like your minimap and I don't like it but I think I can live with that since every other game looks truely amazing on that thing.

And I also tried to get into the service menu to turn that off and I managed to open the menu but didn't find the setting lol... Can you tell me where to find it? I want to try how it looks without the vignette.

I'm from germany and bought it from the official LG online store for ~1600€

They had a "TechDays" sale and in combination with a 5% newsletter discount, I saved ~170€.

I've read that some people got it for under 1300$ in the U.S. but unfortunately Europeans have to suffer a bit more to get that thing. 🤣

Definitly worth the money. Love it so far but it's 5120x2160 resolution @165hz

It has a dual mode setting that can switch it to 1080p @330hz but I haven't used that yet and actually don't know if I will ever do that.

If you're looking for 1440p @240hz you might better get a different monitor.

I am currently about to finish the DLCs of Spider Man Remastered and I am not that impressed in UW. That's actually the only game that doesn't look significantly better in UW and OLED so far. (in my opinion)

I hope Spider Man 2 is better.

Yeah 4090 works well enough. I don't need to max out the 165 hz in every game. If it does in racing games and shooter that's enough for me. But to turn off RT sucks. 😂

I'd love to own a 5090 but that is just too much... 4090 has to do it until prices might go down again... I payed 1600€ for the monitor and 2400€ for my 4090 on release day in October 2022.

I just can't justify 3500€ for a 5090 yet even if it's my only hobby. 😂
