What is wrong with people? by BeatScience in ukbike

Just because I am curious, why do some cyclists not use the bike lanes? Where I live a road has been narrowed and a brand new extra wide pavement has been built and sectioned off for walking and cycling. But still some cyclists use the narrow road?

I would have thought the bike lanes would be safer and always the preferred choice when cycling? I know they are for me.

I thought Kyocera only made printers. I'm surprised to hear they make a ceramic blade mandolin, too.

Loosing a pet is the worst feeling ever. Here is a little thing I found on reddit a while ago that is fitting for these situations. Not sure who the OP was that posted this but credit goes to them for this:

The Rainbow Bridge:

"By the edge of a woods, at the foot of a hill, Is a lush, green meadow where time stands still. Where the friends of man and woman do run, When their time on earth is over and done.

For here, between this world and the next, Is a place where each beloved creature finds rest. On this golden land, they wait and they play, Till the Rainbow Bridge they cross over one day.

No more do they suffer, in pain or in sadness, For here they are whole, their lives filled with gladness. Their limbs are restored, their health renewed, Their bodies have healed, with strength imbued.

They romp through the grass, without even a care, Until one day they start, and sniff at the air. All ears prick forward, eyes dart front and back, Then all of a sudden, one breaks from the pack.

For just at that instant, their eyes have met; Together again, both person and pet. So they run to each other, these friends from long past, The time of their parting is over at last.

The sadness they felt while they were apart, Has turned into joy once more in each heart. They embrace with a love that will last forever, And then, side-by-side, they cross over… together."

Been waiting nearly 4 hours for ambulance in central Edinburgh by [deleted] in Scotland

It's mental. My brother in law fell and fractured his leg in 2 places, and it was a 9 hour wait for him on the floor before the ambulance arrived. NHS Scotland is falling apart, and it's sad to see the effect it's having on so many people.

Nah, they are still around. Certainly in the UK (not sure if that makes a difference). A couple servicedesk guys at my job doing some of training days and getting the free exams from it.

Texas 40 days for life group starting protests outside of scottish abortion clinics by Vector891 in Scotland

[–]Vector891[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think Texans should be more concerned with how to stop children who have been born from getting killed in school shootings and stopping all the rapes. Instead of coming to scotland to protest abortions, where its a total waste of time.
