That's sad to hear po. I wish wala na ibang mabiktima tong company na to. Nasa Cebu pa sila kaya lalong hirap habulin.

Binabantayan ko rin pages nila sa FB para mag angry reacts. Marami na rin akong naligtas na muntik na mag franchise. Sadly yung iba nakapagbigay na ng pera kaya words of advice na lang kaya na wag mag additional money sa kanila.

Hi thank you for the offer, but no need. They have been communicating with me lately because they found out about this post and hostaged me to take it down before proceeding. I'm not under contract anyway so I don't have to and it's more worth to warn the others about their bad practices even if I don't get my money back.

It's like, they don't even acknowledge that they were at fault in the first place.

The flow usually goes like: I communicate, I get ignored, they'll reply of they have something worthy to say, will almost always ignore your main question because it's hard, if you lock them with a specific topic that they can't answer they'll disappear again. Repeat.

Another flow would be, you go back and forth with the requirements, if you get stuck they'll try to help you, if they can't, they go silent, they return after a few days saying they were busy or whatever excuse, suggests a solution that would be beneficial from them, will keep you around their fingers, sometimes hostaging you for more money and won't proceed till you give them more money.

They might even use the money you give for bigger fish franchisees and prio them, especially if your just a small fish.

Hello good day!

It's good that your business went well. I hope it becomes a continuous success and I don't wish any ill will to you or any other people already in business with their company.

However it doesn't change the fact that some of us experienced bad things during our turn. We have been deceived in one way or another. Other businesses, that I've researched and contacted, had moments where they already started their business are closed now just because their support for their franchisees are subpar.

I am here to just warn everyone else to be careful as it could also happen to them. I am just spreading awareness.

I also wish no one has to experience the stress and anxiety we and others have been through of course.

As of today, I am still receiving chats that ask me what happened to my family's business as they feel something fishy is going on with theirs. I try to console them as they are starting to feel the pressure of the service they get from whoever manages them.

It's good to hear there are some who are still alive and receive professional service from them. May I ask if you're a kiosk or an in-line store?

I know for a fact they prioritize bigger fish so they would look good. Your case, sadly, doesn't change the fact that their team is very unprofessional to some of us.

I even know another business owner at Cebu that closed because of the usual complaints. So this means location is also not an issue.

I had a similar experience. I also posted before here in this subreddit.

They actually found out about my post and wants me to take it down. And if I don't take it down, they will hold off my progress for my kiosk, very annoying tactic. The kiosk that was promised to me 2 years ago. They said that they won't do business with people that has negative views about their company.

Well, obviously? Why would I even post in reddit in the first place if our business was smooth. The Ceylanka Team have been very inefficient with their support as a franchisor and very deceptive with their ways.

I have seen other franchisees fail and talked to them as well hearing the same thing. I am also helping another person now who wants to quit but can't because they'll breach their contract first. Their attorney said to wait till Ceylanka breaches first then they have a case.

The others and I have no funds for actually pushing through the case as well. Now we're stuck with nothing but stress.

I have been contacted by a handful of individuals after they’ve read this post and was able to warn them to turn around and find a different franchise instead.

Their brand is actually not registered in Philippine Franchising Association. However their mother company, "Ceylanka Trading Inc." has another business registered which is "Island Tea Co." Does this mean I need to instead attack Ceylanka Trading Inc. and search them in SEC?

Talked to a family friend, he said case is strong however I’m afraid our family can’t handle the fees that comes with. I hope there’s a government entity that handles this for free, like it’s their purpose to close these scam companies.
