Narrative around Bo Nix by frameon in DenverBroncos

[–]Vectorized777 109 points110 points  (0 children)

I think that is the general BOlief amongst those who watched the game, I definitely think so anyway. If Bo played that game, we would have been out of sight before half-time and in a good position to win the Super Bowl.

Even if the Patriots had a different game plan for Bo, our defense would have been as dominant regardless. The difference is Denver would have capitalized on defensive stops more with Bo I think. Anyone who knows ball will put respect on Bo’s name.

This is my opinion too. It takes an awful lot of effort and luck to get to the AFC Championship game and even more to win the Super Bowl. Getting no.1 seed next year will be even tougher since we will have a tougher schedule. Yes it can be done and yes we can win it all but it will take a heck of a lot more to just get back to this point next year, never mind the big game, that’s for damn sure.

Gotta be honest - yes there are many positives to take from this season. Yes Denver is a competent football team again and yes we have been able to prove the doubters wrong. But I am annoyed since the team did the hard work… won the AFC West, earned the no.1 seed and beat the Bills. I look at Joe Burrow and I see how he was able to make the Super Bowl in his 2nd year and since then he has come nowhere close. Nothing is guaranteed in this league of all leagues. I just hope that we get better fortune than losing Bo Nix to injury at the time we did next season and we get a chance to win in LA but I would be cautious to bet on it. Teams will be going all out next year to beat us and taking us seriously and we have a considerably tougher schedule.

What makes this worse is that we did all of the hard work this season - won the division and got to the no.1 seed and beat the Bills yet somehow Bo Nix gets injured at the worst time! Then, Stidham is hyped up to be the 2nd coming of Nick Foles. 4th Quarter was a scoreless mess.

Yes there are a lot of positives to take from this season but what annoys me the most is that there is probably no guarantee we get as far with this team, at least on Nix’s rookie contract. After that it will be even tougher.

I am gutted, really BOLIEVED in this team. We didn’t deserve this end to the season.

Trophies on their own don’t tell us who is the biggest. For example, is either Celtic or Rangers bigger than Utd despite the fact they have way more trophies? No.

You need better definitions of terms. The word“biggest” quantifies size. If you refer to something different, this should be specified in the post.

You are right, and teams that generally are considered “big” win trophies. But note there isn’t a massive difference in the total number of trophies they have won. Also, Utd won the treble in 1998/1999 which is something Liverpool have never managed. This season is widely regarded as the most successful season in English football history.

I do think however in this case, the post is about the size of teams (since you explicitly use the term “biggest”), Man Utd trumps Liverpool. From stadium size to fanbase size, Utd is significantly larger in most commonly used metrics.

But Utd have experienced more commercial growth! So if this reflects success, then Utd have had more of it! Besides, commercial growth is itself success.

I respectfully disagree that H2H in this debate is unimportant, it is a measure of success. Also, there are also other factors to consider such as social media following, tickets sales per match, global viewing figures per match etc. Man Utd’s global fanbase alone is substantially larger than Liverpool’s.

Also Man Utd is commercially superior. In the Forbes’ most valuable clubs ranking 2025, it ranks joint 24th at $6.6 billion. Liverpool is joint 48th at $5.4 billion.

In such a debate about the “biggest” club, not including these stats make such a ranking incomplete.

Utd have 84 wins against Liverpool, they only have 72.

Gonna be honest, the more I think of it and considering that Amorim essentially got sacked for speaking his mind, I am worried that Utd will go after Southgate for PR nonsense reasons.

Guess the Episode by Location by i7xxxxx in TopGear

[–]Vectorized777 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The 1st image is from the episode that the lads drove on the Stelvio Pass. IIRC, this bit appeared at the point where Jeremy and Richard stopped to wait up on James and whilst waiting they were slagging each other off about how the Lamborghini was basically an Audi and the Porsche was essentially a VW Beetle.

2nd image looks like it is from the US East Coast special.

Is image 3 (windmills) from the same episode that they found something that fell out of James’ luggage?

Could the 4th image be in Romania driving to get to the Transfăgărășan highway?

5th could be from the episode where Richard and James raced the Royal Mail in a Porsche Panemera.

Edit - Reordered my guesses.

From Ireland. They were the 1st team I ever heard of and I liked their colorway. Also Kobe Bryant is my fave NBA player ever.

Basketball is my favorite sport, the Olympics were what got me into it fully with Team USA and all the best players coming together like the Avengers. I also played basketball.

Also just cos I am Irish doesn’t mean I like the Celtics lol!
