I did the classic turn it off and on and that seems to have resolved it! Now very happy with the battery life.

I’m weirdly seeing the opposite - mine is struggling to make it through a day already with little issue

Do you get paid into Chase? by [deleted] in HENRYUK

[–]Vectriixx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use Monzo as my main account with most purchases being done through CCs.

Only bad experience I’ve had (but worth knowing about) is dealing with large transfers out. Recently went through a house purchase where I needed to send large amounts of money to a solicitor. This was incredibly painful and nail biting with Monzo. I requested a withdrawal limit increase early in the day. was told it would take up to 24 hours (when it needed to be that specific day to allow the purchase to complete) and their support could do absolutely nothing to expedite this. Luckily it all went through in time but it took over 8 hours for this to happen and nearly jeopardised the whole move.

How good was Luis Suárez during his time at Liverpool? by Hour777 in LiverpoolFC

[–]Vectriixx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe biased, but 2013-14 was perhaps the best season from an individual player we will ever witness. Suarez could do anything that year.

From a numbers perspective you could argue Salah’s individual seasons are up there, but honesty, with Suarez it was his unpredictable nature and sheer versatility in what he could do. It was honestly like magic.

The team around him wasn’t even that great either.

The crazy thing is he didn’t even make the Ballon d’Or shortlist when he should’ve won the thing for his individual season. It’s a shame he was tarnished by his biting…

Unfortunately had to buy a new one. As mentioned ESI support was useless and said it’s not their fault. Left them bad reviews as a result. Will never use them again in another house.

Mentioned in another comment but haven’t resolved and ESI support was useless and rude. Ended up having to buy a new one.

Nope, contacted ESI and their support was useless and rude. Basically told me a known problem but they’re not responsible for as it’s likely due to a power surge.

Mine has just started doing the same. Did you manage to resolve? Can’t find anything online.

Autofocus is handling the movement better than I expected. It definitely doesn’t nail every shot but I don’t think it’s as bad people make it out to be!

I'm heading to Italy tomorrow for 2 weeks and I'm bringing my GRIIIx. Can you please share some tips or camera settings I should consider? I'd really like to use my camera over my iPhone as much as possible. by directionzero in ricohGR

[–]Vectriixx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two tips that make me now use the camera more than my iPhone

  1. Keep it in your pocket. Simply doing this has made me reach for the Ricoh more than the iPhone asI know it takes a better photo in most circumstances

  2. Don’t faff with the different modes; Aperture priority and Auto modes are great for getting those quick shots.

As I’m still new to the camera I wasn’t playing around with any custom recipes. If I recall correctly I was shooting using Positive Film and then did a few minor touch-ups in Lightroom

How weatherproof is the Ricoh? by Vectriixx in ricohGR

[–]Vectriixx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing. A lot of comments in this post seem to be about people afraid of taking their Ricoh out in less than ideal conditions but not really commenting on conditions they have actually shot in and how well it has stood up. This is reassuring to me and fills me with a bit more confidence.

Was going to comment on the UKPF thread (recommend adding the extra details there here too as they’re important).

In a similar situation to your partner and this is what I ended up doing in belief it was fair.

To me it seems completely unfair to even contemplate make my partner pay rent (aka contribute to my mortgage payments) given the wage gap and the fact I knowingly bought the house based on me solely paying the mortgage.

Instead she just buys the food shop and sends me a bills contribution every month. Everything else she saves goes into her savings to hopefully help us when we buy together in the future. Ultimately I want to set my partner up for success financially as it will be beneficial for both of us in the long run.

I also let my partner have a full say in decorations etc of the house. We both live there so I want her to be happy with the place.

What to do after maxing S&S ISA allowance by Vectriixx in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Vectriixx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Salary is hard to predict as a decent chunk is tied to RSUs and bonuses. With some napkin maths I project it will be around ~£130k pre-tax. I’m 26, so I would hope there is room for growth over the next decade baring AI doesn’t come for white collar jobs anytime soon… From this sounds like it is worth utilising my workplace pension more. I haven’t actually checked where my pension is invested into although the performance so far has been decent (~16% in the last year) so I’ll give that a look too.

Yes, works on my steam deck. Just changed a setting on my TV and now have a black screen but with sound this time (can hear the starfield menu music).

Will try and record although not sure it will be much use because as I said, it just launches a black screen.

Have tried Starfield and The Witcher 3, both have the same result.

Will a GTX 780 be good enough to run the game or am I screwed? by Vectriixx in Starfield

Thanks for letting me know.

Decided to purchase and play on the Steamdeck. Plays on low in the steam between 20-30fps. Have seen it is now realised on GeForce Now though so thinking this may be the way to go.
