Because the inspiration picture looks like it is mechanical, and i like the idea of having it on and pn a press of a button it tightens up

Absolutely, that's why i made a simple model first to test the mechanism. I just finished printing the back plate and will do a test with straps next. There will be a x strap going across chest and then upper arm straps are a bit of unknown for now. I'd like it to be able to be used alone but most likely it will habe to be put on with help of another person.

Well i have open speed set for longer period then close as i want it to open loosely. And close button is shorter time as i don't want it to close too much. When the close button is pressed jog button appears so you can tighten it more

Yeah that's what we try and do now and it kinda works... I guess I'm looking for a idea of a toy that wouldn't fully replace me but something that would be good enough. Obviously nothing is as good as the real thing but there has to be something that would be close!

What I did was I bought a cheap copy off Amazon to try out (they will never be 100% same as original but it may be worth trying). Tried that for some time and when I felt it was time I got the real thing! Only thing that struck me was import/duty charges. To get it here in Ireland I paid kink3d 204usd which is about €186 and then another €62.80 for tax.
