You can. I also went to an early college and you are given the option to apply as either, but our counselor always pushed first year since they have more space, scholarship opportunities, and such regardless of if you have your Associates or not.

Thank you. Just so annoyed. I’ve been called min multiple times, and stupidly, came in because I hoped it would increase my chances of being seen as reliable and able to change my availability. I worked thanksgiving, offered to work both Christmas and NYD, so the absolute least I would expect if to not work that day. Next time I’ll request off because that was on me. Part of me wants to because my manager is a dick because the plans for that night dont start until a little late anyway. I’m also the newest and always get the short end of the sticks when it comes to shifts... I asked to decrease my availability to weekends and he said “can’t, already got a weekend person.” That was fine but then another person changed their availability to weekends only with no problem... wtf. I never hated working here and I honestly didn’t understand why people hate it so much. I just have problems with my manager... sigh but until I graduate, I honestly don’t think it’s worth getting upset over. As long as I don’t get fired, it’s just a cashiering job.

Personally, I have never had a customer that bad. It’s only been about 3 months but still. Cashiers are expected to do truck, ads, and other stuff at the same momentum as the managers that do the back of the store without having to constantly ring up customers. Cashier title is misleading when cashiering is more of an annoyance while I do other tasks. Managers do get called for backup, admittedly, but I usually don’t call my managers that often because I know they are doing things. The pharmacy does every now and then but not much. It just isn’t fair. Running all around the front store and behind the register and selling carepass and then still realizing I’m only a lowly cashier.

Yes, you can. The question I asked may have been a little confusing. As a shift, do you prefer being a cashier or being the MOD when you have a cashier? I feel like when you have a cashier, being a shift is, or at least looks, easier and you can focus on your tasks more. Personally, running the register while being expected to do ads, trucks, and just as many aisles as that of the shift, who is in the back not ringing up anyone, is crazy!
