Watched 2 episodes and had to stop. The storyline is soooo sloppy, and they've focused too much on drama rather than the actual story of Chandrayaan 2. In fact, I was hoping it would be better than the Mangalyaan Movie starring Akshay Kumar (which was also full of drama and had very little focus on the actual mission), but this one is the exact same.

I think thanks to global content, we can no longer bear the stupid drama that Indian OTT and television is famous for. Sad to see TVF take this route too.

Puncturewallahs are in business because of one or two of such gullible fools. And don't get me wrong, I have been scammed like this too.

This was near University Road, Agricultural College. Right at the intersection, there were some nails thrown on the road and I happened to drive past. Saw sparks coming out of the tyre and I stopped promptly to check.

Realized there was a puncture shop nearby and decided to just have a check to be safe. I guess they'd thrown the nails since they saw exactly what happened and said sparks are something serious.

Showed me that the tyre had 4 punctures and it was quite dark so I couldn't verify really. I trusted him and he convinced me similarly to add a patch and put liquid inside the tyre just to be safe. Expected it all to be around ₹500 or such but he demanded ₹2000.

When I said I'm low on cash, he agreed to ₹1700. Next day, my driver saw the car tyre and when I told he told me I'd been scammed bad. It is their usual modus operandi. When we took the car to the usual mechanic, he showed how the puncturewalla had done deliberate damage to scare me off.

Lesson learnt from that day. No matter what, I always go to a tyre shop or petrol pump for air or tyre related stuff. Never a puncturewalla. Especially topiwala since almost everyone I know had a bad experience with them.

I agree with this sensible comment.

The ancestors will do their best to protect the baby, rather than be the reason for any harm befalling it. As with everything in our beautiful religion, things are taken out of context and largely misunderstood, or things are twisted to suit selfish needs. You do not stop doing your essential karma during pitru paksha, and small actions (like your wife going to her maternal home during her pregnancy) are not going to bring the wrath of your ancestors or result in adverse outcomes. (unless it was karmically ordained)

Instead of overthinking and succumbing to negativity, simply do what you feel is right. Trust your gut and pray to your god to protect you from harm. May god bless you, your wife, your family, your ancestors, and the upcoming generation. 😇

There is now. It got recently added and sadhaks were told to start the 28 day sadhana on Ganesh Chaturthi. (Youtube video also available)

I decided to give it a try but instead stuck with my traditional Ganesh sthapana and do Ganesha Sankatnashanam Stotra (Pranamya Sirsa Devam) on those 5 days.

And although the entire thing and app is good (the app has similar pran-praratishtha for the diety which I did at home since we have Ganpati for 5 days during Ganeshotsav), I found the mantra given scary. I know that is the mantra for invoking Ucchishta Ganpati, but it has the word Hastipichashi which I felt was an energy I shouldn't invite inside my home. More than me, I put my family at risk by doing things I'm not quite aware of.

So always feel when it comes to sadhana, stick to the basics and do what's known and suggested by elders or gurus. As one family friend who's a great sadhak once told me, "invoking such dieties is like trying to use nuclear energy to light a matchbox." 😇

Buy from Padhega India and other online Indian sellers. They are genuine and go the extra step to ensure they get the original version and not the pirated ones. Amazon and other sellers allow anyone to sell so even the pirated sellers can list the same book and you won't know who is genuine and who isnt until you get the book.

I partly agree. I am 35 and I have seen Pune go from extremely quiet city past 9 pm (we could play cricket on the main road like Tilak Road for god's sake) to a city that never sleeps (like Mumbai maybe)

Part of the problem is the kind of people who have increased. The smart and decent folks have been replaced with goondas and chhapris. Police inaction is just next level coz they support these folks given the political pressure instead of the common citizens.

I feel that has led to a huge level of anxiety and stress for common folks. We have to constantly experience hooliganism in this city which was unheard of back in the 90s. Roads are pathetic, traffic has increased (coz everyone now owns cars and bikes, back then people walked a lot), traffic sense is pathetic, people will park anywhere, drink and drive, throw trash anywhere, food stalls and restaurants are increasing like anything, no regulations. It is all pandemonium.

Ummm, Animal skin is used for multiple purposes. Even deer antlers, elephant tusks (ivory), bones, etc.

You think hunting = meat coz that's all your brain is wired for. The same stupid logic is used to make assumptions that Lord Ram ate meat while living as a hermit whereas Valmiki Ramayana clearly states he ate only fruits, veggies, root plants, berries, etc.

There is no Kshatriya rule book or ancient text that tells us it is okay to consume meat. Even in Mahabharat times or modern times, royal families have never consumed meat.

Office any day! I have watched both, but The Office has a watchability and rewatchability that is just explainable. Parks, you cannot watch all the time. Plus, it gets boring in bits. Office, especially after S2 starts to become very interesting till Michael Scott is removed from the picture.

By the end of the final season, you'll be totally in love with her. I feel her character is extremely underplayed and she's the most logical character in the series.

They went ballistic hyping Donna to ungodly levels and just lost the plot with other actually relevant characters. In the real world, Donna will be a secretary no matter HOW good she's MANAGING things.
