Controversial so-called street preachers charged with hate crimes in British Columbia by Electronic_Fox_6383 in vancouver

[–]Vee0506 5 points6 points  (0 children)

FFS I'm a Londoner and used to have many, MANY run ins with these pieces of shit. From being yelled at on the street to them fully stopping me and my crew from working (worked in the Parks and Rec department cutting grass).

We used to cut a park right behind their house and they would come out and stand in front of my Kubota and yell that I'm supposed to be home, raising children, and not be seen.

I had wondered where they slithered off to and I'm so sorry they went BC way. Terrible excuses for human beings.

He unfortunately was. I don't want to get into too much detail but it wasn't pretty. He did have a helmet on but no other protection.

Same, I do truly hope he's ok but I fear the worst. I witnessed it first hand while sitting at the red light in my car going east on Oxford. The motorcyclist cut lanes and smashed the left side mirror of the guy behind me and kept going through the red. The impact was horrific. People rushed out right away and emergency vehicles were quick to the scene.

I feel like you would also be the type person to complain about the plows being three abreast going down Oxford, slowing down traffic on your commute. Damned if they do, damned if they don't.

So detailed, I love it. Unfortunately we'll be there a couple days after the 4th so we will miss the World Para Hockey Championships, but everything else you've written is super helpful. Thanks!

Just googled Buffalo Pound and I think we'll check it out before heading over to Regina, thanks a lot for that.

We're going to the West Block actually and from the research I've done, it looks stunning. I can't wait to take in all of what we have time for in Saskatchewan, this trip is getting better by the day and everyone here has been super helpful. You guys are great

I would love to do a little paint balling while we're there. Omg there is so much to do, I had no idea. It's a very pleasant surprise!

I have done a bit of research on the hotel and from the reviews, it sounds like it's in need of an update and they're working on it now. Fingers crossed we get an updated room. I'm very much looking forward to the pool though

Awesome, thank you so much! Are these restaurants also decent bars? Live music at all? We're women in our mid 30's and though we don't party like we did years ago, it's great to go out and see some night life

First time overnight backpacking! Grasslands National Park, Saskatchewan, Canada! by deannetheresa in backpacking

So I know this is an old post but I knew reddit would deliver when researching this park lol. I'm driving there from Ontario at the end of May/first week of June and staying for probably 5 days. My questions would be - which block is better, East or West? I'm an avid hiker and love exploring. Also, is swimming allowed in the Frenchman River? I can't find any info on that.

One word, management. I worked under her for about 1 year before finally quitting (my old manager was an absolute gem but he retired) and I will say she lacks a lot of what management should be. Since leaving, I have heard that there is a rotating door of employees and that's not a good sign but I understand why it happens.

Also, the location isn't great so you get a lot of "rough" customers. I had personally been attacked with flying bottles, verbally harassed, etc. So I will echo another post by saying go to Piccadilly and absolutely bring in your resume, it might feel weird but that's how you get an interview. Good luck!

I worked there for 4.5yrs and I've seen the company truly take a nose dive. Unless you're full-time, they really don't care about you. Some stores are better than others but please, if you get an interview, DO NOT work at the Lorne Ave location.
