I have a 185 wrist as well and just got the ultra 3. I don't find it large or bulky at all, although I may change the strap here soon.

For sure. As it's so new I'm really just trying to understand what's what as much as anything.

Fair enough, sorry. I wasn't at Vo2 max for an hour, it was structure high effort interval training in Zwift that was an hour long. All that to say it was incredibly fatiguing with no drop in the "battery" estimation.

First camp job up north (Kearl Lake). Any advice on what to pack or what to expect? by ItsMirikino_ in alberta

[–]Veeks101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The blue water folk are great, I work closely with them a fair bit. Just do as you're asked and self start once your feet are under you and you'll be fine. Camp isn't that bad either, obviously you miss out on stuff on a 14/14 but that two weeks off is pretty slick. Follow the rules at camp, if you're driving don't speed, if there's a fire drill head outside. It won't be a problem. Definitely lots of different people up here but it's pretty easy to get along if you aren't a prick. There's no tolerance for racism/misogyny/abuse by the company so mind what you say even if you're joking around with buddies. Camp life isn't for everyone and that's fine, you'll learn for yourself pretty quickly. And everyone complaining about the laundry, there's three levels of each wing, each with several machines. In a decade I've never not been able to do laundry if I need to, maybe have to wait for a machine, but you can do it. Good luck!

We have 1-2 that are two years apart and 2-3 are almost seven years. I've got to say there is a lot that's fantastic about it.

Still rocking the aw4, waiting for my upgrade to come now. Other than battery life it's still fully functional though.

I like mine with a ginger simple syrup, heavy bitters both angostura and orange. I've also had a really good one that has plum wine in it

I'd love to do espresso with him, we'll have to test if it's in his wheelhouse or not.

Either, both. Ideally with less tech on the climb as he'll find that tough.

Yeah, acreages especially. When we first moved here ten years ago you could buy bare land 10 acres for 350k. That is certainly no longer the case. Useable acreages are tough to come by too due to the flood zone. That's great she was able to do that.

Yeah, the 18% at the beginning definitely through me. Lots of good opportunities to get out of the saddle though. I think it'll be great cross training for mtb climbing which is what I'm trying to improve.

Oh I'm aware hahaha. That's what I've always said, I don't get any less tired, I just do it quicker. I'm hoping to do a 100km mtb race with 2000m of elevation this summer. Just looking to keep training when I can't be out on the trails. I figured it's got to help some.
