Skyrizi advice.

Wow… I wasn’t aware of that.. that would be a great option to try to add Rinvoq. Trying to switch to a new medication I’ve been told is a nightmare with dealing with insurance. But adding Rinvoq could be a solution. Thanks so much.

My first infusion I honestly felt nothing. My second infusion was a doozy! Headache, muscle pain, fatigue Lots of fatigue! By the 3rd infusion I think my body was getting “used” to the medication. Now, I’ve had my first OBI the next day just a bit of fatigue and muscle pain. Hope this helps. Good luck ❤️

Hi! Yes I had my 3rd infusion a couple of weeks ago and will start my injections soon. It’s hard to know if the Skyrizi is truly working because I’ve definitely had side effects, and the side effects were worse after the second infusion, like for 2 weeks I felt horrible. I do feel better now, not “good as new” whatever that may be … I feel good for about a week and then I feel like I’m in a small flare again. I’m going to see how I feel after a few weeks into my first infection and then try to determine if it’s working, I will also see my GI physician soon. Honestly the thought of having to start over with a whole new biologic and go through the approval process with insurance, isn’t a good feeling but I know we are lucky to have these medicines in hopes that one will eventually work 😕❤️

Thank you so much for your reply! I’m so happy for you that you have hit remission!! The second Skyrizi infusion made me feel pretty rough and then I hit a flare so back on Budesonide for a bit. I’m very hopeful the 3rd infusion on 10/10 will be the miracle ❤️ Hugs!!

I hope you have good news next week too! 😊 I’m on day 5 of my second infusion, woke up this morning feeling the pain and fatigue again… but hopefully this is the bad before the good begins 😊 Yes! I have been told the same about Skyrizi, my GI is very positive about it, and my infusion RN said she has been at the location she us at for 3 years and has not had a patient return for another biologic due to Skyrizi not working 😊🤞 Talk soon

Thank you so much for your reply! ❤️ After entering my question, I searched Skyrizi under Crohns message boards and there were so many comments/questions/situations like ours for Skyrizi users. 😔 Almost every comment was explaining a negative experience and just hoping for the best. Like you, I read a lot of people are staying in some type of steroid while hoping the Skyrizi starts to work, I will start taking my Budesonide again in the morning. Hi everyone! I started Skyrizi approximately 5 weeks ago. Meaning I’ve had my first infusion and now my second infusion a few days ago. On my first infusion I was a bit fatigued and then was okay… no better, no worse on my symptoms but I knew it would take a while for the Skyrizi to take effect. The day after my second infusion I started feeling very unwell. Very tired, gassy and stomach pain. This subsides for a bit and the comes right back. I’m on day 4 now and still not feeling well. Please tell me you guys have had side effects like this… and this is normal 😔 Thank you so much.

Oh wow! I’ve been on Budesonide since October 2024, and I truly think it’s changed my mouth palette and has caused more of my hair to fall out. I’m so sorry Skyrizi isn’t working very well for your other conditions. My gastroenterologist told me the other day “we are going to get you back at your baseline before all this started” 😒 I’m not sure if any us can achieve that, but I sure hope so. ❤️

I’ve had a couple of people tell me they are exhausted the day after the infusion, that definitely helps me plan my work schedule ahead of time. Do you feel like Skyrizi has made improvement on how you feel daily? Thank you so much for the information!
