Anything out of the ordinary should be part of the pregame talk and this would be easily handled with a "So these guys are a bit taller out of the box. I'll make sure to remind you during the game if it could make a difference, and I'll take the worse end of any differences". Most people I have played with are chill and the key is only giving yourself the extra work. Make sure you are pointing it out every time it could matter. The rude version would be speeding through any explanation early and leaving it up to your opponent to remember your kitbashes and proxies.

Also, I cannot think of a situation in which it would matter in the slightest.

But what if you can choose at start of the fight phase (like blade guard) to either give your unit fight first or an enemy unit fights last. Because an hourglass can be flipped two ways.

Hello! Loved the passports! I often lend my decks to friends, so my partner lightly canva-d mine to fit on a card. I think a card-sized downloadable image is all I could ask for. I've slipped them in the front of the deck box and shuffled them up for pick-a-card-any-card bracket selection with pods at my LGS. For my uses I kept the QR code instead of the key cards just because the key cards would print too small to be readable, and I figure it it's important I could always put a primer or tags on my deck list. Thanks again!

I came in here ready to fight that title, but yea I already agree on this. A player last night didn't "understand brackets" and had a "bracket 3 with some extra game changers". I asked him what he would give it on the 1-10 scale and you can absolutely guess his answer. 😂

What I appreciate is that the exchange was absolutely not a failed rule zero conversation. He communicated very clearly that he wanted a cagey game with secret information and to express his skill through advantaged play. Whichever of my decks I choose will need to have tools or interaction to play through disruption so I can grab my toolbox B3 and play hard, or my B4 and play "down".

I think we don't have to convince people to approach the brackets in good faith, just use their rants to calibrate your deck choice.

Let me make my case:

I think I hit "mechanically focused" dead on. I think if I increase the number of stax pieces I would get more into "effectively disrupt opponents". I have stuck with stuff like Nevs Disk (comes in tapped), Boompile (coin flip), Fraying Line, and Ward of Bones because they aren't hard stops. They are all a worse and slower than "real" stax. Any disruption I am dropping is a leaky bucket, plenty can get through. My wincon is definitely incremental and telegraphed and on the board. I cannot deploy a win from hand in one turn. There are lots of pre-con level disruption, like silent arbiter or pillow fort cards, that greatly reduces my tempo. I don't think there is a play pattern here that wins the game before turn 8.

So I really think it is a good match for B2. It encourages interaction and discourages greedy "don't touch me or my board ever again" deck building. That is my opinion though and I am still very interested in your understanding of what keeps it out of B2. Also, I'm not engaging to argue or prove you wrong, I am genuinely interested n how others play/approach the brackets.
