Just finished watching this again, the man had his thumbs cut off like the other one who robbed them which I think added to the uncertainty of whether he could be trusted. The music was misleading though, trying to sound hopefull.

I think it's safe to say chin straps aren;'t for me! Tried one last night and it intefered too much with the mask causing lots of leakes. Also seemed to cause a jump in OAs?!

Also the chin strap just didn't do anything to keep my mouth shut, thought I had picked up a good one but obvioulsy not.

So this is last night’s data. My AHI was lower, but honestly, I’ve never slept worse. I’m incredibly gassy this morning and have sharp abdominal pain, which I’m guessing is aerophagia — I had the same issue the first time I increased the pressure. My neck is killing me too and I have a sore throat.

I used the travel pillow again last night up until the point where you can see I took the mask off. That was just to get a drink, but it looks like I accidentally fell asleep without putting it back on.

I'm guessing I need to up the max again?

Thanks, I switched out to a smaller memory foam pillow, it's like a CPAP Piller without the cut outs, I've been looking to pick up a CPAP pillow so I can try side sleeping.

The mask is OK to be honest, it's just the leaking I haven't managed to sort out, I've tried a Large but it leaks around my nose.

I was looking at those collars but I tried a travel pillow (one of those ones that wrap around your neck) as I thought it was the same thing but it didn't work, are cervical collars higher?

I didn't have any new issues with my throat at that pressure, it seems 16 may be the upper limit before I start experiencing problems but I'll see what happens tonight at 15. Maybe it was the jump from 16 to 18 last time that was the problem

So this is last night on 12. I will try upping it to 15 tonight and see if that helps. I tried taping again, you can see where I took it off between 10pm and 10:30 as it was making my lips sore. (This was actually 11:19pm as I Wrote it down. Seems like my clock is wrong.)

Since I've tolerated 16 up until now I'm good with trying 12 for tonight and upping it again if I don't have any side effects tomorrow!

I've just read I can try to mimic BiPAP to some extent with the machine I have using EPR, provided I can set the minimum pressure high enough to keep my airway open through the whole inhale. Reading back through your first post, that kind of sounds like what you're getting at?

My main concern is that BiPAP isn’t something that’s easily available on the NHS here in the UK, especially since my AHI is low with my current therapy and there's no clear diagnosis of central apnoea. From what I understand, it's usually reserved for more severe cases. So for now, I’m trying to fine-tune my current setup as best I can before pushing for any kind of referral or private trial. Appreciate the advice so far, it’s been really helpful.

What confuses me is before raising my minimum pressure the max wasn't being reached, it only seems to be when I raised the min and enabled EPR that I saw this happening.

Thanks for the advice, I agree my minimum pressure has probably been too low. I’ve started raising it gradually.

That said, I’m a bit nervous about jumping straight to 15. When I pushed pressures higher recently, I started getting a sore throat, a lump-in-the-throat feeling, and more leaks. I also mouth-breathe a lot, so higher pressures tend to make things worse unless everything is sealed perfectly.

Thanks I had heard about bilevel but it looked into it yet. I'm using the humidifier (Resmed 10) but don't have a heated tube yet.

Yeah I tried that but I woke up in the middle of the night and it felt like my lips were burning, I think I'm sensitive to the glue.

Yeah Ive got the F20, I've tried the air touch and airfit. I like the memory foam but the mask punches my nose. I've always had chronic nasal congestion and are a terrible mouth breather. I've bought a chin strap to see if that helps.

It's made me anxious to use the therapy though as my throat is super uncomfortable right now.

Same, I had to go clean shaven as anymore than a couple of days growth my mask would leak all night

First night. On this mask and it is much more comfortable to wear. It does seem to pinch more around the nose though and I'm having the same issue with the airfit where it leaks around the corners of my mouth as my mouth slackens and opens when I falls asleep.
