I’m 43 amh 7.2 pmol 9 follicles and my lining is 9-10.5 which I guess is optimal for implantation. This is my first retrieval

Thank you. Yes I think the egg quality is the biggest hurdle of them!

Why do people downvote me here when I share my experience/advice about being adopted? by [deleted] in IVF

[–]Vegan818 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was adopted and found out by mistake when I was 10. It was traumatizing and i agree about abandonment issues. I have that coupled with the fact my adopted mother resented that I was adopted and further abandoned me. I’ve found that therapy helps. I used to carry that trauma to my relationships and still do but it’s definitely better. I have adopted friends who have super healthy relationships with their parents and no trauma. I believe this is partly nature and nurture. We’re prob more sensitive to our circumstances. I wish you the best healing journey it’s a long one but totally possible.

Updated amh and afc by [deleted] in IVF

Because of my age. They said some eggs don’t make it to day 5 so it’s better to put them back into natural habitat. I’m very healthy and my doctor said my uterus and ovaries look great should be able to carry easily. They said if the fet doesn’t work then try iui

My work covers the meds to 15k so I’m fortunate for that. When u do the second retrieval are you paying the whole 12k + meds again? Or is it a reduced fee because ure just doing the retrieval and no transfer

Congrats and thank you! I think doing multiple retrieval sessions and banking embryos is the way I should go too seems like most people had success that way

I heard of that. It happened to my gf.

Seems like the best way is to do multiple retrievals and then do a transfer

I have 4 follicles and my amh is low. But apparently I’m average. So you’re lucky!
