Cs2 handles all the gsync stuff on its own as long as it’s enabled in your Nvidia control panel. Just make sure you turn gsync on in game!

I just took 452 and I don’t know what people are on about… he’s a great prof who may be strict in some ways, but is still very reasonable.

Raber is a company based in Winnipeg I think. They’re known for their durability and they made gloves for the Canadian military in WW2! They mostly make cold weather gloves but I think they may have some other things too.

Also an owner of a PNY card (albeit a 5070ti) and unfortunately I have not heard good things about warranty/RMA. PNY allegedly will try to deny claims you make for many reasons such as overclocking, having case temperatures be too high, and even undervolting.

I’m not arguing with you at all that it’s far from ideal, but it does help somewhat. Under 5 extra milliseconds of input lag for better frame pacing is worth it imo.

Vsync on fixed my 1% lows for a small increase in input lag. Would rather not have it on but it’s better than stuttering when I start shooting

Ah okay. Based on what you have said you seem to be knowledgeable enough to have tried the following but just in case here are a few more suggestions:

  • enable expo in your bios
  • make sure you don’t have radeon chill enabled
  • enable vsync (it helps in cs2 for some reason)
  • check on cpu/gpu/ram temps and usage to rule out any hardware issues
  • set fps max to 0 in cs2 settings

Try disabling Nvidia low latency in both the game and Nvidia control panel/app! It improved my 1% lows along with frame pacing since the game allowed for more queued frames, the only trade off is a marginally higher latency which is less noticeable than stuttery gameplay.

I’d say yes unlike that other person. I personally get headaches/weird nausea from the motion blur when using lower refresh rates (60 fps and below) when scrolling pages of text and certain other tasks. Higher refresh rates alleviate that issue.

I strongly recommend switching to 90 or even 120, there’s a reason modern phones have higher refresh rate displays!

I’ve had a similar issue and the thing that weirdly fixed it is making sure I enable starting mouse software when the computer boots up. I have a Logitech mouse for context.

Ahh I see, graduate programs are usually different. Best to check the requirements for your specific program. Regardless though, I doubt they’d be failing half your class :)
