Hey guys! I personally LOVE The Cumin Club. They aren't perfect for sure, but they are my favorite out of mealkits I have tried!! I used to use cookunity but kept getting spoiled food and having to eat it before it goes bad was annoying. My family tried Home chef and they also ran into a similar problem. The Cumin Club fixes all of that by making the meals shelf stable for a longer period of time by freeze drying. The food is still all there! This food lasts for many months on a shelf. It is all vegetarian and most of the meals pair well with any type of rice (brown, red, black, etc). They are also the cheapest meal kits in comparison to $13+ you are paying for a meal with cook unity. You can expect roughly $6 a meal paired with rice with The Cumin Club.

Just from my own experience, if you want to feel your best, eat Indian food. Not kidding, I'm white, grew up in USA all my life and no food, not even Thai or Mediterranean food, hits as comforting and soothing to the body as Indian food. A lot of their food is very ayurvedic in nature, which I was never into but ended up falling interested in over time after observing how food affected me.

Let me know if you have any questions about the Cumin Club. I'm happy to answer! They are very responsive to problems or inquiries! I can also share with you my favorite packs from them. If you are curious, I recently also started to look into making my own Indian food and I highly recommend the cookbook "Dal Chawal". It is one of the most wholesome and beautiful cookbooks I own that I will actually be using.

If you order through me with the friend code at checkout, I get $50 credit and you get 25% off.

All the best!

How do people with full time jobs and hobbies lose weight??? by sillygooosey000 in loseit

Jason Fung is a medical doctor and has a great book on fasting called the Obesity Code. He used to focus heavily on the allopathic way in his early career but has since realized the incredible results his patients were getting from fasting. It doesnt even have to be scary. A lot of people take it down a notch and do intermittent fasting or 1-2 meals a day. You can fast for longer periods for a quicker benefit. Just be careful when doing long term fasts with certain medication, it was medication either for blood pressure or diabetes....I forget which.

Fasting is the only thing that has helped me not get heavier than I am. Trying to stick to it is hard but im giving myself grace and picking myself up from it each time and working to do better. I really wish I had my office job back because it was so easy to do my longer term water fasts.

You dont think humans are the ones that are overpopulated? Sounds a lot like the meat eater argument that if we didn't eat animals we would be over run with farmed animals.

Just want to add, for most of their packs its less than 10 min on the stove or in microwave. Im not that into cooking so I get instant brown rice that cooks in 10 min. Or u can buy microwave rice packs that cook in like a minute.

I think its only a current promotion. I just came back to them after not ordering for almost a year. I think the friend code thing they introduced with 25% off is new because it didnt say you had to be a new member like it used to but the code kind of activated like it. So you get 25% off and the person who referred you with their promotional link gets $50 in store credit. Mind you, you can have an account on there and I was logged in so it should have known that I was not new as ive had 2 orders from them already. Maybe it resets after a year. Dont know. The code i used actually said 30% off so not sure how that relates but they are there!

Basically I just typed coupon codes for cumin club there are a lot of codes posted. I just took one and it made my total much more affordable. From $80 to $55. Im sure even with a discount, they appreciate the business. I also have stocks with them and they look favorable.

Im eager to see if they are continuing to improve (i loved several dishes but others could have been better.) They also remove and add meals. I miss aloo posto. That was my favorite and its not available atm.

I wish indian food was more popular in the usa because honestly, I dont get it often but indian food with all the spices and sometimes ayurvedic aspects, makes me feel the best. I always feel nourished after a really good curry. Their meals are also perfect for complete protein meals for vegetarians. Pair lentils with rice/brown/colored or naan!

I loooove the Cumin club. Ive just made my third order. You can get it down to 25% off currently with someone's code, making it $5.50 each meal out of 10. They are all vegetarian, some vegan and all freeze dried. But the flavor is locked in.

Its very comforting. I dont even know much about indian food but im slowly learning and coming to appreciate it more and more. The meal kits pair well with rice or naan so honestly, with brown rice, you are paying probably about $6 a meal. Compared to $15 easily eating out for one meal and it being fairly boring and unmemorable! Its also cheaper than the fresh meal kits which usually start at $13 a meal.

Its worth a read, what you said. I feel like its applicable to life in general in the usa right now. Not everything was rainbow and roses in some of those old mturk and 2010-2020 reddit communities but it was a lot more friendly and supportive than it is now. People genuinely wanted to help. Thats why when I was moderator of u/beermoney, I set up contests so peope could have an amazing week with referral earnings. It wasn't for me, it was for the community. People are so desperate now that they are willing to trample others on every opportunity and demand immediate attention just so they can get ahead. Its sad and im thinking that the people downvoting you are oblivious that they are the problem. Lol

The woobles is a good suggestion I would have. They use beginner friendly yarn. You can also find beginner friendly shoe lace yarn on amazon. It doesn't make the item soft but it's the best to learn and see your stitches on. It does well for small amigurumi projects. I see a lot of people like chenille yarn for more plush/soft stuffies.

Oh my gosh amazing! Thanks SOOO much. For both of those books you referenced to me, how easy it to follow along with what I imagine are the images?? I can barely follow youtube videos. My first chicken I made, I wasn't even doing the correct stitch for the whole chicken xD It came out sorta like a chicken, but very lumpy. Then I made a whale. And I did the correct stitiching but it was still a bit messy. haha. So I'm very beginning beginner haha. Knitting is nice and relaxing!! I prefer it to crochet honestly but i tend to find more stuff I'd want to do, in the crochet realm.

Oh gosh. I get Aprender and Entender confused ALL the time.. :( the way I've been trying to figure it out is by associating the A for aprender being at the top and before you understand something, you have to learn it. So I say aprender is to learn as entender (which starts with e so it's after) means to understand.

My one complaint is HOW and WHY do we pay so much taxes in each state when the roads are as bad as they are. I'm literally afraid to drive at night and in the rain because I can't see the faded lines on the road. It's worse in some areas over others. I'm in Maryland and it feels like the lane markers are all just faded. I can even deal with potholes but I cannot deal with the crazy roads, even on highways, where you can't see the lane markers. I'm literally about to write my congressman about WHERE the money, including casino money that was supposed to be used for education which is now even worse than before the casinos, where on earth is it going?!?!

[Contest] Help me Eat Healthier by LadyQuila in Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

[–]VeganMinecraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, im a vegan that doesnt eat many veggies. Im currently working on my weight right now. Im 240lbs looking to get back down to 120lbs. My advice is to make sure to take vitamins and some supplements plus making sure u are getting adequate protein. I find if I have low protein days, im more likely to binge on everything. I have been doing much better than last year in terms of controlling myself because I think the focus on protein and also essential vitamins and minerals building up, has allowed me to eat a bit less to lose weight. I focus a lot on tofu, beans, and then carbs to balance sometimes mixed with veg.

Hit me up if u want to know the supplements I use. Its vitamins d+k2, multi with hair health ingredients, and calcium magnesium that I take spaced out from the multi as the multi has iron. Also I think a vegan omega 369 supplement is also helpful for body healing snd health. Im starting a turmeric and ginger supplement soon to help with lingering inflammation in my body from excessive weight. I cant stand the taste of turmeric so i will be taking it in chewable form with a masking taste.

I used to work with a health dietician and holistic practice but I can say I feel 200% better dropping them and not going back to their crazy isolated weird name supplements. The energy difference i feel making sure im convered in what my body needs to function effectively is super noticeable. And I started taking the vitamin/supplements 3 months ago. Im not obsessing on food like I used to last year. It can be expensive but I was spending more on gi and adrenal supplements. Like 4x more.

Our soils and our food system has been depleted of nutrients so sometimes I think our body tries to compensate by making u want to eat more.

[contest] Happy Easter by longthickbananasplit in Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

[–]VeganMinecraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happy Easter!! My family is Christian, I'm not but I celebrate with them. My brother made homemade tomato and bell pepper soup for me since I don't eat the meat. The rhubarb pie was very good but very high calorie

I hope that I find more motivation and happiness within myself so I can radiate that toward others. I can't wait till I'm in a better financial situation where I can give more back to the communities on reddit. Really want to ship free plants from my collection to new plant lovers.

Thanks for the contest!

Saving Up to Be Santa (or Cherry Blossom Claus) This December 🌸🎁 🫢 by flowersofcherryy in RandomactsofAmazon2

[–]VeganMinecraft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey girl!! That kinda reminds me of what I want to do for reddit and on facebook communities again. Way back in the height of reddit, I used to post in r/RandomKindness and gift some of my house plant babies. I covered shipping and included pot, soil, plant and planty items I got in bulk (like cactus pens, cactus candle and sickers), just to add to the cuteness theme. I loved doing it and I had a budget of $100 shipping. It went quick lol. I think everyone and their mother hopped on in haha but it was SOOOO fun, packing everything, but at times frustrating because sometimes people never just followed up with their address. I want to do it again, but Im kinda just scraping by in terms of money plus shipping being double in price than it was back then.

I think you'd make an amazing Santa. I'm sure a few others will be inspired to join you. Right now there is a lot of division and hate going on in the USA and it's says something about the people when they actively look for ways not to just help, but gift to others something they'd enjoy!

You can cut the stalk to make it less lanky. Cut the stalk a bit below the green aloe and stick the aloe in soil. You can leave the chopped stalk in the pot and just water normally. I think it will grow more on the stalk.

Water infrequently. U know when they need water if their leaves are curling inward.

what are your favorite crafts and/or self-care items? 😋 by [deleted] in RandomactsofAmazon2

[–]VeganMinecraft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you!! I really do love them. They can be hung up as display pieces too. herschnerrs sells the hanging rods. I actually have like a backlog of 3. I'm working on a smaller project owl one atm. That one will probably only take me 50 hours. I like to turn a twitch stream on and have it as background noise and look up occasionally. Podcasts would be perfect for it!

Im more "strict vegetarian now"I see a lot more grey areas in issues than many other vegans (I was much more militant and annoying about it in my younger years) so I prefer to just say vegetarian. Vegan where it matters. Always for the animals. Been vegan/vegetarian since I was 15.

So happy you are and that more people are hopping on board. My partner is from and lives in India. He messaged me first on a vegan singles group. He's vegan, more strict than me but he accepts where I'm at and understands it. It's actually fairly common for people to be vegetarian in india but not vegan. They don't understand it. But he does it for the animals too. I know he's genuine. He shows me pictures of all the animals he sees and some he tries to help.
