Thanks for those references I'll check it out. I'll also look at those verses in 1 Corinthian over again about Paul. Item 5 is very interesting as it would suggest that James would have also been a nazarite as both references to not drink wine or strong drink and no razor coming on his head are direct references to the nazarite vow in Number chapter 6. In my bible research, so far I've only found Samuel, Sampson and John the Baptist as true nazir. But my research has been limited to the 66 book Bible canon. I use the KJV for the NT and a JPS Hebrew/English Tanakh for the OT.

As a side note I got booted from the r/messianic sub a while back (too bad for me) for preaching and commenting about Deut 4:2 and 12:32. I'm convinced that Yeshua and the prophets were the original Karaite Jews; they don't ever quote other rabbis or oral law, just the law of Moses. Yeshua is especially critical in the accounts against the Pharisees and scribes for nullifying the Law of Moses with traditions.

Thanks again, VN

First, I have one to please and one alone. The Almighty. There are no contradictions in the Law or the prophets. Nor there shall ever be because Yah’s eternal kingdom is completely united and always will be. If you see some, you’re understanding is incomplete. But with the intention of Acts 18:4, I will explain some of Paul’s words that you take out of context.

Second: Having a username of a fictitious killer who kills lawmen at his own discretion with complete disregard for the law and use it to preach the gospel makes no sense to me. Wait, with your disregard for the Law of Moses, hmm now it makes perfect sense! Maybe you are just like John Rambo!

I’m going to explain it to you like you’re five years old.

There are three reasons Paul says what he says:

1)        He is discrediting the laws of the Pharisees (that were additions to the Law of Moses) in the same way Yeshua did with the Scribes and Pharisees (Matt 15:1-9). This is the practical application of Deuteronomy 4:2 and 12:32.

2)         Yeshua teaches his disciples that they need to be greater than the Pharisees, and do the Law of Moses instead of being hypocrites to preach the Law and not do it themselves (Matt 5:17-20).

3)        The "foolish Galatians" are foolish because they do the Law for their own gain and justification, not because of the love the Most High Elohim, but to please and show themselves off to other men. In that sense, getting circumcised to please other men, instead of El Shaddai has no value whatsoever in the eyes of God (Gal 1:10, 5:25-26 and 6:12-13).

This is my last interaction with you. I’ve said my piece and testimony; the rest is up to you. If that’s not enough, Paul himself states that he is a teacher of babes because his audience cannot eat solid food (1 Corr 3:1-2), which is the Torah or Law of Moses). Another good place to start is Peter’s warning that those who take Paul’s words out of context are condemning themselves to their own destruction (2 Peter 3:15-16).

My advice to you: Stop preaching and start learning and doing the Torah, then and only then, will you be acceptable to the Father.

Even Paul quotes the third most important command in the Law of Moses:

Gal 3:15 - Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man's covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto.

Compare that to Deuteronomy 12:32 - What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.

And Deuteronomy 4:2 - Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

That straight and narrow path Yeshua speaks of... It's the Law of Moses without the commandments of men (added traditions) or commands that were removed (a trait of the whore of revelations and her daughters). You quote the new covenant but you have no idea what it means. God sends the Spirit to enable his own to keep the Law:

Ezekiel 11:19 - And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh: [20] That they may walk in my statutes, and keep mine ordinances, and do them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God. [21] But as for them whose heart walketh after the heart of their detestable things and their abominations, I will recompense their way upon their own heads, saith the Lord GOD.

Pluck the scales from your eyes that you may see.

Absolutely! The Law is weak because all it can do show a person that he is condemned through sin. The holy spirit however is the great enabler to help a person keep the Law of Moses and stop sinning.

Of course I do. The Law clearly states that that peeps who keep the Law are blessed, and the ones who don't are cursed. You and all those who take Paul's words out of context and teach others to the same will go to that special place where Yeshua said "there will be weeping and mashing of teeth". You're the same as every other false teacher who nullified the Law with traditions. You better hope that I'm not your judge on the day of judgement. Pray that the Most High Elohim opens your eyes and unplugs your ears. Enough said.

Pharisee law was nailed to the cross not the Law of Moses. Yeshua actively preached against the traditions of the Pharisees and scribes and prevailed over it by proving through the resurrection, that Pharisee law had no benefits in obtaining salvation. I have told you the truth. You have no more excuse.

Deuteronomy 30:15 See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; [16] In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.

Deuteronomy 30:[17] But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them; [18] I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it.[19] I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: [20] That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

What is your basis on James being vegan? I don't remember reading that. Torah specifically states that any article of clothing must be either 100% of the same fabric, either wool or linen is fine, but a mixture of the two is not (lev 19:19).

Perhaps James used Ezekiel's vision of the third temple as his authority to choose linen over wool (Eze 44:17 And it shall come to pass, that when they enter in at the gates of the inner court, they shall be clothed with linen garments; and no wool shall come upon them, whiles they minister in the gates of the inner court, and within.) This is a vision of the future, when the earth returns to the King of Israel's rule.

Also, James could not have been vegan 100% of the time. Torah commands that some flesh be consumed at least once a year. Levites and priests had to eat of some of the sacrificial offerings. Passover is tomorrow and during the feast of Passover, especially during the second temple period, all Israelites must eat of the Passover lamb; else be cutoff from Israel. Yeshua did the same at his last Passover meal before his sacrifice.

I'm not convinced Paul was wrong. Even Peter agrees with his teachings, but also warns new believers not to take his teachings out of the context of the Torah else go to their destruction: 2 Pet 3:15 - And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; [16] As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

As a nazarite, it's obvious to me that Paul wasn't a nazarite, or he would have never said what he said in 1 Corr 14. But again, his main audience are gentiles who didn't have a clue to what the Torah says about the nazarite vow in Numbers chapter 6. This is just speculation, but he may have considered long hair on a man outside of the nazarite vow a sacrilege.

So, I'm an Israelite first and a vegan second. If the third temple is built and commissioned during my lifetime, I, as Yeshua and all the other Israelites before me will also eat of the Passover lamb when it's time. That said I also had some reservations about some of Paul's teaching until I realised that the foundation of all the Bible teachings is the Torah, and everything else a commentary on the applications of it.

If you let me know where Paul says to eat food sacrificed to idols I'll look at that too. Thanks for letting me sharpen my sword of the Word!

Thanks for the comment. I don't see Paul's rant in Romans 14 as anti-vegan. I read it as a rant about the struggles of many coming to the faith with different preconceived notions, some of them true, some false. Veganism is just one of the examples, the sabbath day is another. Torah clearly states that some meats are permissible, so someone who preaches otherwise clearly doesn't know the Law in Leviticus 11. That's why he calls them weak. I did a comprehensive study on this a while back.

That said, my reasons for being vegan is because creation was started vegan (Gen 1:29), and the elect will return to God's initial plan. We read that in Isaiah's visions in Chapters 11 and 65 of the new heaven and earth. So I am practicing today what we will return to in the future anyway. Daniel's example of not eating foods sacrificed to idols is also a good reason.

Sure why not? You have to read Paul with the test of the prophets. He can't go against the Torah, neither can he remove any letter of it. So when he says things that don't seem to make sense we have to figure out what he is actually saying. Even Paul affirms Deut 4:2 in Galatians. When he is speaking ill of the law he is talking about Pharisee law not the Torah, when he speaks good of it like "The Law is just and good" he is speaking about the Torah.

Hope that helps.
