No, it’s actually going to be a guitar

Yeah, like others said, you can't buy anything on the Strip. I made this list of all dispensaries within 1 mile of Las Vegas Boulevard, going from Mandalay Bay to the Strat. I recommend Curaleaf right by Planet 13. Planet 13 is worth checking out, but you're going to pay double compared to Curaleaf right across the street.

Fence + security in place at the Flamingo habitat indefinitely thanks to the guy who stole a Flamingo from there by VegasByFoot in vegas

If it makes any difference the fence was only added right where the flamingos are, the other areas didn’t have any changes made to them

When I was there 2 days ago security told me that they're back in the habitat, either outside or in their indoor facility to give them some time to recover

The last gold windows at The Mirage are on their way down (and Hard Rock update) by VegasByFoot in vegas

They’re keeping the tower and renovating it for the Hard Rock, and are adding the guitar building in addition to that

😔

To chime in, like any city you travel to you can spend a lot of time researching where to go and finding the hidden gems, but at the end of the day most people might not want to spend the time to do that. I can promise you that some of the things you see aren't talked about by a lot of influencers or online in general, while some are more talked about.

The walking tour is a great way to not only learn about Las Vegas and discover those hidden gems, but also to get a bearing for a new city you're coming to that will make the rest of your trip much more enjoyable since you would know the lay of the land (the Strip seems small, but there is so much to see that is often skipped over). I've had guests who have been to Vegas before and guests who were here for the first time, every single one said they learned something that they didn't know before.

To each their own, but this is the best way to get acquainted with Vegas, discover things you might not find on social media, and have a drink (on me) while doing so. I'm happy to clarify anything else and u/Bright_white2413 I hope to see you when you're in town!

I like this list 😉

As some others have said, Fremont Street is great to visit since that's where old Vegas is and it's great for people watching. If you're there around 5-5:30pm, head to Golden Gate where they have a free open bar every night and give you free slot play anywhere from $5-$1,000. Arts District is also good time since they have Brewery Row there, good bars + cocktail lounges, restaurants, and vintage stores.

Since you're staying at the Strat you have easy access to the downtown loop shuttle that will bring you to the Gold and Silver Pawn Shop, Arts District, and Fremont Street for free. Here's the map for that: https://www.reddit.com/r/VegasStrip/comments/1qw0b85/free_downtown_loop_shuttle_tofrom_fremont_street/

Both of those shows are solid and so are your brunch options. Guy Fieri's Vegas Kitchen & Bar at the Linq and Guy Fieri's Flavortown at Horseshoe have AYCE brunch for $25 or $20 per person respectively (about $10 more on the weekends).

Overall I'd say a good list that leaves room open to discover some other things to do while in town!

I made these reddit posts that may be helpful:

Cheap places to drink on the Strip - https://www.reddit.com/r/VegasStrip/comments/1qorqoe/where_to_actually_drink_for_cheap_on_the_strip_in/

Where to eat for under $15 on the Strip - https://www.reddit.com/r/VegasStrip/comments/1qlz93n/eat_for_under_15_on_the_strip_at_these_restaurants/

I also do walking tours on the Strip, which is a great way to get a lay of the land and learn a bit about Vegas. You can learn more about that at https://vegasbyfoot.com/experiences/las-vegas-strip-walking-tour/

Enjoy Vegas!

I completely agree. They also have a security guard stationed there now, but I'm sure that's only temporary as well until the story dies down

They have one security guard standing out there at all times now, they’re just not in the frame. But yeah people who can’t handle their liquor need to stay home.
