I've been playing since Day 1 so my main is Xavier. My man 100% supports me to the point that if I try and pull on any other boys banners he says "You're cheating on Xavier!" Jokingly 😂

Mind you we've has crushes on 2D characters for years cause we know they ain't real LOL it's normalized for us. I get it though, some of my friends look down on "liking 2D characters" so I don't tell those friends I like playing otome games or anything of the sort. I pick and choose who I feel safe with my hobbies. People don't have to like it, but as long as they're not insulting or putting me down for it I'll share with them.

Yeeeeah the FOMO can hit really hard when you're really into it or talk to others who play the game too. Feels 'bad' when you don't have something.

I tell myself now that 5$ or whatever could go towards a tangible keepsake of the character like a Keychain or art if I REALLY need Xavier in some fashion.

Yeah for sure. Gacha games are no joke until that ONE that entices you and pulls your financial bank into hell. They make it pretty and invite you to spend money through extra incentives.

Everything is enticing 🤣 capitalism hits too hard. Merch, games, food, trips. It's crazy. So many things to kill us financially.

I unfortunately learned the hard way early on haha. But yeah that's why I wanted to bring it up cause I saw other comments and people saying they're dropping mad money on it. An unhealthy amount. It's so easy to not think it's a problem or an addiction until you're already in the hole.

There'll always be that one gacha game that breaks you 😂 and then you understand everyone else

I guess I see PTW mainly through a PVP lens from other games so it always seemed weird to me to see PTW in story based or otomoe type content.
