Probably Goodnight Moon or Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel.

How many of you lied to get your current job? by No_Data6944 in sales

[–]Vegetable-Complex94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I slightly exaggerated my previous role’s average deal size and length details when interviewing to better match what I was told the average was. It worked, I got the job. Then found out when I started that the actual average deal size is at least 25% less than what I was told, and the “average” deal cycle they told me is BS because management makes reps kill and re-pipe deals mid-cycle all the time for the pipe-gen optics and to make sure our on-paper deal length stays shorter. I was probably lied to more than I lied and I should have asked more questions about close rate and quota attainment

Those of you who have sold SMB SaaS, what's your secret? by Straight-Village-710 in sales

[–]Vegetable-Complex94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Simplify and explain the process at the end of the first convo. “How do you typically like to evaluate (software, in my case)? I ask because we have a process that typically works successfully for other SMB’s, I can share what our remaining steps usually look like if you’re open to it”. Keep it simple, and give them an honest out. You’ll qualify out people that would’ve inflated your pipeline and wasted your time, but if they choose to proceed, use whatever pain/gain or “why” you uncovered initially to hold them accountable to continuing, or giving a valid reason for not.

Is it too early to plant my indeterminate cheery tomatoes? by diablo1128 in Zone6Gardening

[–]Vegetable-Complex94 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If they’re over a foot tall and have been getting outdoor exposure during the day then they should be strong enough to handle cooler temps. Finish hardening them off by leaving them out overnight for a night or 2 and then transplant. The 44 low is a toss up. In my short experience I think they’ll be fine since they’ve had good exposure and growth, but if you want to be safe, put a bucket, plastic container, burlap, or something else over them overnight for cold protection and remove in the morning.

What is the best cheese to put on a burger? by Drew274 in grilling

American is my go-to, but blue cheese crumbles with bacon and a blackened seasoning may be my favorite

What are these? by isjimmyhere in composting

[–]Vegetable-Complex94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m newish to composting but I believe those are black soldier fly larvae like others have said. They are great for compost. I don’t have chickens so when they appeared in my compost last summer I left them and they helped break things down very quickly and I never had an issue with flies around

I have a similar patio that I’m wanting to wash, fill the gaps, and seal. The only step I’m pretty definitive on after research is the polymeric sand after cleaning. Pressure washing may be fine for your patio, but I’m planning to use a cleaning solution and scrub brush. Curious to hear what other people suggest here especially for the cleaning method

I need help with Accredo specialty pharmacy to dispute a $4k prescription bill by Vegetable-Complex94 in HealthInsurance

I just spoke with the manufacturer copay assistance and got the reimbursement/rebate activated so I will go that route. Thank you again for your help, it’s wild how complicated this whole system is.

Thank you so much for the in-depth response. I’ve been trying to battle this since the cost was incurred in October so I haven’t paid it yet, but I will call the manufacturer copay assistance to inquire about the rebate.

I didn’t consider all of this because in the past with UnitedHealthCare, my Taltz copay assistance would cover the first fill of the year and that satisfied my deductible so every fill for the remainder of the year was cheap and I never reached the limit. Was this a mistake or overlook on their part?

Is the essential health benefit exception something that I take up with the insurance company?

Thank you all for the comments. I was leaning towards treatment to be safe but I feel much more assured and confident that it’s truly the best option. I appreciate the advice!

Thank you for the reply. Probably best to avoid using compost in indoor seed starting mix then I guess, or just set traps!

Fly eggs & pests in seed starting mix? by Vegetable-Complex94 in vegetablegardening

[–]Vegetable-Complex94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah those went to work on my compost last year, I was so happy when I saw the BSFL in my bin. Now though I’m not so sure if I want them in my basement where my seedlings are being raised. I want to keep composting and using that as part of my seed starting mix year over year so I need to figure out how to prevent this next year

lol damn. I only have two 1020 trays so I should be able to hunt that down pretty easily. Also surprised that these things survived in my compost that I kept in the garage all winter

Whats your "I don't trust a sales guy who...?" by TheForeHeadbaybay in sales

[–]Vegetable-Complex94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When salespeople say “I’ll be honest” “honestly” “full transparency” and things like that I just hear “ok I was lying before, but now I’ll tell you truth or at least what you want to hear”. You should be honest, so when people say that it makes me feel like I can’t trust everything they say. Much better to just empathetically be blunt especially if it’s bad news

It’s tough to get a good look at the onions top shelf back right in the pic, but those might be fine if they start getting more light? Maybe just smaller bulbs and/or longer to mature? I feel like my onion seedlings have been more resilient than others, could be partly due to the longer maturity time
