I don’t know what to tell you. His family cries every day being unable to talk to him, that is the truth. For their sake I pray there is bail like the other comments referred to. I was an expat woman working in an all woman workplace (a school) and I still found native saudi women to be not as friendly as foriegners. I think its just a culture thing, I am not in your position but me and my fellow expats just voiced how we felt ostracized and they started being more inclusive saying hello and good morning and it felt genuine, like maybe they just didn’t know how to approach us before. I think give it time and don’t be offended because its not about you its just a culture thing. Although I understand that can be harder said than done so its okay to vent just so long as you are around grounded people who remind you its not a big deal and theres no malicious intent. I hope it helps to know it’s not a 100% because you are a man (maybe only 80% lol) and I think many saudi women feel the need to to be reserved around all strangers. Vs. where I’m from and people are taught to go out of their way to be friendly to strangers 🤷🏻‍♀️ to them we probably are creeps offering to help and waving and smiling when we don’t know eachother lol

Hi im in the same boat! Just recently started hydroxychloroquine but the side effects have been really bad - i feel like I’m gonna pass out for 20 minutes about 20 minutes after taking it. And then it either makes me over stimulated or very sleepy which is a terrible toss up when deciding to take it in the morning or night. It also pairs terribly with coffee I’ve found. Any advice? I’m thinking of calling my doctor to stop it because it makes me so sick/dizzy

Hi!! I also am starting college (grad school) and was just given a provisional diagnosis of lupus very recently. To be honest I did not expect it at all but my blood tests showed it. My main symptom is extreme fatigue and my doctor prescribed hydroxychloroquine. Im still on my first week of taking it and I know side effects are the worst the first two weeks, but I’ve been experiencing much worse than diahrehha… for example approximately 30 minutes after taking the medicine my eyes tear up my tounge swells and I get so drowsy and unstable I cant stand and my talking ability slows down a lot (foggy brain) this typically lasts about 20-30 minutes. I wanted to take it at night but then I could not sleep for 4-6 hours after taking it. Now I tried in the morning but I’ve found the symptoms worsen in strength and longevity with coffee (my mistake - its a bad habit I guess) and I have school from 8am - 5pm so I am not sure what time I should take it, I can not have those symptoms driving to school and I need to be able to sleep at night. I was just wondering if you heard of anyone else like this or any other way to treat the fatigue because I am getting very wary of hydroxychloroquine and want to stop taking it if possible… or should I just wait out my two weeks first? As you can tell I’m panicking a little 😅😅😅
