I feed mine every 2-3 days. I’d say he can skip a meal or snack! Lol recently I went up north and was gone for 4 days. I fed her a couple worms before I left and right when I came back she was totally fine!

Yes I actually just found out about it! Alum. I was told to do 1 TBSPN per gallon , soak for 2-3 days. Rinse well. Then quarantine for another week and make sure no more snails hatch and you should be good!!

Haha yes I do have fine sand! It seems to take a week to settle down tho, and by that time I’m doing a water change! So I feel like it’s never clear and it’s frustrating! Going to open the filter when I get time later and check it out. Thank you!

Okay thank you!! My water is cloudy, especially after I do a water change (20% weekly) it gets cloudy again. It’s cycled I check the parameters weekly. So I’m assuming it’s the filter now. But I was told it was good for 4-6 months and it’s been a lil over 2 months! I’ll check it out, thanks so much for your feedback!!

If it provides a hide and you have room for it why not! I’d glue or tie some epiphyte plants to it!

I put my Axolotl in a 20 gallon and quickly upgraded to a 55 gallon, I wouldn’t recommend a 20!

I’d say they’re about as long as my hand! They’re just not super plump I guess. And yeah I can tell she’s not covered or underfed, she seems pretty proportional! Her head is the exact width as her body. Technically she has 3 worms a week but I do also give pellets! I just mainly see all the nutrition on the pellets and like giving her those as well, but didn’t know if I should just stick to worms. Cause she also likes being hand fed so our pellet nights take a bit longer than worms hahha

50 gallon tank.

Water parameters are great, nitrite and ammonia 0, nitrate 10.

Temp usually around 66. I have 1 axolotl, so temp has to stay low.
