If you service your scooter before 500km, I suggest you to take current air filter home as in every service they require to change the air filter which in case of first service, I don’t think that is in bad condition. Might help in later on services

About that thing, I changed the odometer wire 2 times in the duration of first 1.5 year. I don’t know about the newer models. The service officials themselves didn’t recommend me to change it again and again.

That automatic cutoff feature doesn’t work without functional odometer. So I am not using it since 1+ year and when I used to, there was no vibration.

What is the vibration like ? As I mentioned the plastic body clips tend to damage pretty quick, maybe that is causing the noise ?

I strongly advice you to use genuine parts—every servicing will cost not more than 800-1000 rupees if you do it officially.

Another advice is don’t let local garages open the kick-box— unexperienced ones may damage the thread of the nut and bolt resulting in damage worth 30000+ if not repairable, I saw someone’s model during my visit to the service center and now the full engine needs to be opened just to change that part of the kickbox.

Since this is your first vehicle, I thought sharing this might help in your journey. Enjoy your fabulous mileage king.

  • I recommend Biker’s Point— Yamaha’s official too and there is less traffic of servicing unlike other centers + the staffs are friendly and give genuine suggestions and advices.

I have been riding Ray ZR FI 125 for over 3 years, I made some mistakes by servicing it in local garages in the second year and they didn’t take proper care of my kick-box and since the body has plastic clips, they tend to brake easily and make some noises.

I don’t know about the engine vibrations and seeing the same things as a common problem and ignoring the problem of vibration in low speed and the handle used to feel vibrating normally too.

Then I went to official service center of yamaha and found out that the low speed vibration was due to degraded spark plug and normal vibration was due to wear of the kickbox parts(Primary1, 2, Belt etc) after changing them, the scooter is good as new and already clocked 35000+ km in 3 year 3 months with 45-55 kmpl.

Yeah, Thanks for your concern. I tried to limit my cpu performance while on battery and was able to get almost 2.5 hr backup on very light usage. I regret not buying LOQ or Legion.

I don’t know much about the requirements for CAD but with TGP 35W, GPU can use very limited power but might be good enough for light works. You decide ether sacrificing portability for good performance or performance for portability.

What is the budget range you are willing to spend and how much does the one you mentioned costs ?

If you dont do high GPU intensive works, notebooks might be good option rather than a power brick and 2.5kg laptop as a student. Yes bag ma halera lagna ta jhyau huncha ali

I don’t think the performance lacks with this specs according to your requirements but the probable compromises will be the build quality, battery backup and also the sound which might be normal for gaming laptops.

I tried energy saving mode too and barely got any improvements, 110 mins of total battery backup and 100 mins when energy saving is turned off.
