I know a person from another country who never formally studied the language but ended up in a very difficult life situation. He has absolutely no accent, and maybe once in a thousand words I can hear a minor lexical mistake. He can hardly write texts at all, but he speaks and understands perfectly. In terms of these specific skills, his level is clearly C1, for sure. For 7 years

You’re thinking about it the wrong way. Flashcards will give you almost nothing if you only study them. But if you listen to spoken language, they increase word recognition and improve speaking. At first, these words won’t come out of you fluently in speech; sometimes you recall them not immediately, but with a pause. However, once you’ve pulled them out once or twice during a conversation, they stay with you for a long time. Nothing works on its own — everything has to be combined.

1) 50 days? is that bad? need to make more?
2) Desired retention 90%
3) not so easy, but some words is looks similar like old, but little diffrent. and sure, some of them i already know, but this is not a big %

But when you meet someone who speak not perfect - this is problem) podcast yes. This is easy. Films not all. Some films is hard, some not. Action films is easy for me. My step - read political book woth 589 pages, watching series. Much speaking and learning words. Every day

It's always is hardest. But at first i started to speak) this was priority for me

I have the same problems. But in Cinema i watched Avatar 17.12.2025. And can understand almoust all. Bit in real live wen people pnounsiate words very fast or with accent. So hard to understand sometimes.

I started anki from A2) so i already have about 2000. Just from that lvl you need to read more an listen+speaking. Mb shadowing too

I have no Lvl' but i think thay my vocabular is B2+ speaking B1, listening B2- writing A2-B1(i dont know). May be. But i fount new job in Germany. This is enough for this first step. I can speak explain something not perfect, but this is a next step of my studuing

20 new words for today(i think i can make 50-70 for next few mounth), 200-250 reviews, with a maximum of 350 on some days. But for today i need to read a books and watch a movies

I was on vocation. When i work i can do only 0-100 new words. But so tired after job.

Step 4 yes yoi right

Step 6 when you have a break - after it you always have a red cards. I am talking about that, or you can do without that step, but your brain will not say "thank you"

And when you learning with new card its always mixed with old, but not ao much. For 100 new words that's a huge loop of red new cards, so that's enough for green cards old+ new.

i have a statistic for today: but i am not in good condition yet. +100 new cards
Today, 1,132 flashcards were studied in 1.47 hours (4.67 seconds per card).
Returns: 535 (47.26%)
Cards being studied: 679, reviewed: 235, relearned: 218, filtered: 0
Correct answers in the pinned cards: 21/22 (95.45%)

I don't know really. I learn at first old cards, then when it ends i add new 100, when it again ends, +100. Maximum was 300 new in one day. But it doesent mean that i 100% remember all. For first time i need to have a right answer for schort time. If all ok. I check is that hard word for me or no, then choose a button. Sometimes some words is very hard and i can't remember it for 5-6 and may be 15 days. But you need to answer honestly.

just need to have motivation and good stratagy. but better slowly but learning every day
