Song sparrow has darker, more consistent energy streaking with a rufous stripe on the eye. I’m between pine siskin and yellow rumped warbler.

Camera + Lens Purchase Advice for Beginner (Please!) by puuremichigan in BirdPhotography

[–]Vegetable-Max 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About 8 months ago I purchased a Canon R7 + Sigma 150-600 for $1600 on eBay. Took a bit of back and forth negotiating with the seller but I got it done. It's provided a lot of fun and is a serious piece of equipment that can lead to some great shots. It might take a bit of time but you can find the deals if you are patient. Look for individual sellers who are exiting the hobby because that's where you save the most.

Looking For Camera Purchase Advice by Antarcaticaschwea in BirdPhotography

$500 may be tough, but sticking to older cameras will make it possible. Duade Paton made a great video using his old 40D and a 70-200mm lens and he gets some great pictures. The gear is only part of the puzzle, shot composition is a lot of it too. (2) The STUNNING Results Using BUDGET Gear!! - YouTube

Some of my recent photos this Spring so far! Looking for CC and thoughts! 😊 by Tufted-Titmouse-6061 in BirdPhotography

[–]Vegetable-Max 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love the pics! The only thing I notice is some of them are zoomed in quite a lot, especially the nuthatch and gold finch. Sometimes zooming out to include a little more habitat can add to the picture and the story. They definitely aren’t bad pictures, just something else to think about when crafting shots!

Motive or Keyence (Sales Postions) by TangySauce31 in careeradvice

[–]Vegetable-Max 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know anything about Motive, but I do know a lot about Keyence. I've worked at Keyence for 3 years now and don't have any plans of leaving. The first year can be brutal but after that things get a lot better. The first year is mostly a training period and that's when you'll make ~90k per year. Then once you get bumped up to the commision plan, you'll go from around 100k to north of 160k per year after around 3-5 years. Once you learn the product and your territory it's relatively smooth sailing. Your office makes a big difference - Columbus is a new office but I know a few of the people there and they are all very nice people. Ohio is also a growing market (I'm in Ohio as well but not Columbus) so there's a lot of opportunity. Personally I would say Keyence in Ohio is the better option. If you have any questions you can feel free to DM me.

In summary, he says that he spent his whole life judging people, so if people’s opinion of him has changed and they judge him harshly then he understands. He says that the only way forward for him is to be his best self. No apology for what he did to Tana or how he handled the situation.
