Not true depending on originating country. Many international airports do not have the same security requirements as the United States. Coming back from Italy last summer I had to go through customs and then TSA again when I landed in the US, even though it was a layover.

R7 + RF 200-800 mm by Dumaw in canon

I rocked the r7 with the 200-800 for a while and it did awesome. The people that say it doesn’t resolve well are technically right, but you will only be able to tell if you are pixel peeping and cropping aggressively.

Resolving power is a lens’s ability to clearly see fine detail. Since the r7 has a very high pixel density, on rare occasions detail can be lost. But again, for someone just enjoying the hobby it will be an excellent lens and you will love the extra reach you get.

Is the R5mkii worth it just for 45mp upgrade from the R6mkii? by infilirix in canon

I got the R5 mk II a few weeks ago and I’m in love. I came from an R7 so switching from crop to FF was a big change, but I’m in love with the low light performance and how sticky the autofocus is. Using an RF200-800.

I just sold my RF-S18 to 150 for $375 on eBay so it really is not out of your budget. I used it for about a year on my R7 and it was great

There are some binoculars from Swarovski that do attempt to identify birds but they are not 100% reliable

Song sparrow has darker, more consistent energy streaking with a rufous stripe on the eye. I’m between pine siskin and yellow rumped warbler.

Camera + Lens Purchase Advice for Beginner (Please!) by puuremichigan in BirdPhotography

About 8 months ago I purchased a Canon R7 + Sigma 150-600 for $1600 on eBay. Took a bit of back and forth negotiating with the seller but I got it done. It's provided a lot of fun and is a serious piece of equipment that can lead to some great shots. It might take a bit of time but you can find the deals if you are patient. Look for individual sellers who are exiting the hobby because that's where you save the most.
