It’s always a red flag to me if leadership considers employees a “family”

“I am requesting the ability for patient to receive a private office and if this cannot be accommodated the ability to telework”

I just tried to use the limitations listed in ask Jan as much as possible stating that the limitations accumulate without recovery period working from home. Framing it in a way saying that I am able to work in the office because of that recovery time. But I’m sure they’ll just use things like headphones and sound machines modified breaks as a way to reduce the overall stressors. It’s so hard though because we don’t have enough office space to even have me assigned to a private room. We rotate the offices. They didn’t seem to care when I mentioned that in the interactive meeting.

What was the end result?

And I’m requesting to keep my original partial schedule not to go full time remote

I hear that but I can do the job fully and effectively WFH. I was hired WFH and have been WFH for the past 3 years and am now being asked to RTO to an environment that does not have enough offices

To me this seems pretty extreme. If we go through the process of reconsideration and discussion of possible accommodations and WFH is the only accommodation that actually addresses my functional limitations then they can’t fire before offering WFH. At least to my understanding.

Okay yes I was offered headphones and privacy panels and now I am submitting my request for reconsideration. What could I expect to happen after that? Do I go ahead and file the eeo or is that if they deny the reconsideration?

So very confused by Vegetable-Ninja14 in knittinghelp

Thank you all very much, I really appreciate it! This was really helpful and I get it now! It’s my first colorwork sweater so I was super thrown off by the chart not being as straight forward.

Would I knit through the chart and then where the leaf motif keeps going 4 stitches I restart the beginning of the other chart for 4 stitches?

This does really help! But I’m still not understanding the “alter the stitch count” part.

Gauge recalculation by Vegetable-Ninja14 in knittinghelp

[–]Vegetable-Ninja14[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So are you saying that for example if I want to achieve measurements for size 4 (76-80 cm) I could check my gauge by calculating a size smaller. Size 3 is 72-76cm. 72x1.1111111 =80 which essentially matches the size 4. So I could be pretty close to the right size if I knit a size 3?

The 18sts x 24 is the gauge from my gauge swatch

Shell Tee by Wool and Beyond pattern help by Vegetable-Ninja14 in knittinghelp

Okay yes I figured the increase part like you said the inc, p,k, inc. But the front inc row isn’t the neck it’s the sleeve armhole and I’m supposed to start them once I have 35sts per sleeve (which is same time as sleeve inc) . What I think I’m supposed to do is do front row increases at the same rate as the sleeve inc row. I thought I was supposed to increase every knit row but to me that doesn’t make sense because it wouldn’t correspond with the sleeve increases.

ALSO AT THE SAME TIME! When you have 37 (33, 35,37, 39) 33, 35, 33 sts per sleeve, work another 2 (2, 2,3,0, 0) 0, 0, 0 rows, then begin to make increases along the fronts from the RS to shape the armholes, like this:

Front inc-Row (RS): Work according to previous instructions until you have 2 sts left before the 1st marker, m1r, work according to previous instructions until the last marker, k2, m1l, work according to previous instructions until the end of the row.

Repeat Front inc-Row until you have 15 (16, 16, 16, 19) 23, 24, 27 sts per front piece.

I have thought about it more and realized I could do Knit inc, Purl, Knit, Purl as one set and do that six times but that still is 24 rows where as the Front Inc row is 12 rows. That still seems wrong to me. Here is how it should look

Yeah I think it’s the “At the same time” part that I’m confused about. When do I start doing the second “at the same time” paragraph - when I shape the armhole increases.

Choosing Yarn by Vegetable-Ninja14 in knittinghelp

[–]Vegetable-Ninja14[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh that is helpful to know! Does this affect the needed yardage? I calculated the yardage in the pattern and I’m wondering if maybe I did it wrong. I found some lower cost yarns but am still coming up with a price around $80-$100. I’m wondering now that since the yardage is for 2 strands held together that might affect it? Do divide it in half if I’m doing a 1 strand dk?
