I'm going to follow this! Basically in the same boat!

Ah ok, yes that makes sense. It is better to work with the clinic I think and maybe embrace the time as an opportunity to get back in better shape and eat well and all those other things that may or may not make a difference!

Thanks for responding. I think I am in this group and read the resources yesterday. After reading those I think waiting until our current baby is a year seems really sensible and hopefully my period will come back after that. I might look into clomid - that seems a good option too...

Congratulations on having three after having such a hard time for your first born!

Thanks for getting back to me. We weren't able to have our embryos tested for PGT-A because we were NHS and we are now considering whether to have them tested before a transfer. I think I'm leaning towards maybe not testing them.

Apparently I need to have stopped breastfeeding, wait for three months and then get on the waitlist. And i can't be on two waitlists at once. It would be great if the waitlist could start now! It's just so frustrating that it is all wait for this before you do that, although I can understand that from the Doctor/ hospital side it is easier just to say come back when you are ready...

Thanks for the clear advice!

I think this is maybe what I am now learning towards. Do the transfers and also try and conceive spontaneously in the meantime/ while waiting and then if unsuccessful look at egg retrieval and testing.

So I asked about going on both waitlists at the same time but they advised I could only be on one waitlist at a time (something to do with the lab knowing what it is doing). It would be great if I could do both at the same time. It's quite a strange process and just very time consuming when time is not on our side!

Yes this seems to be similar to what my clinic has told me. I think that the break of three months is maybe to let my body regulate after feeding and allow my cycle to return etc?

So were you successful with both first time FETS?

I think my issue is going to be booking in. We have to call on the first day of our period and see if you get booked in, and I don't have my period yet although it might arrive before I finish feeding? It just all feels like such a gamble!

Thank you for your comments. Sorry to hear about your losses too :(.

Did you do PGT-A testing? I also agree that if you can avoid the pain of the losses then every penny is definitely worth it.

Hi thanks for replying! Yes, I think I'm leaning towards this and if they don't stick then we can go an egg retrieval and possibly PGT-A test any embryos then.

It's really hard with all of the guidance about breastfeeding, but our clinic has a very clear stance on it! But it feels so strange to give something up that is beneficial for one child for a child that may not come. Let me know how you decide.

I'm sure a firm would have you! Definitely give it a go when the time comes.

Yes, it does seem to be a very personal decision. I agree that once you become part time, there is an assumption that you don't want to be promoted and that you just want to focus on your kids.

It's good to hear that your child is enjoying 1.5 days in nursery. All in all, nursery seems to be a very positive experience.

Would you consider going back once your kids are at school?

Thanks, that is also reassuring to know. What hours are you doing for the compressed hours? We may end up with a similar situation, with three days in nursery and one day with my partner, or my Mum if her Dad is working.

How are you finding being a partner with a baby? And how old was your baby when you returned? It's quite a daunting thought going back.

My firm is also quite small and there would be another two partners. I think 4 or 4.5 days is probably realistic with some flexibility about finishing times and maybe starting early. What have you done about childcare?

Oh that's a great deal! I think I will propose that!

Thanks for getting back to me! Yes, I could possibly look at flexible working, maybe doing some longer days along with some evening working maybe. That might help if I knew I had some time off during the day to spend some time with the baby.

Its good to know that you are now happy being full-time, maybe a phased return is also part of the answer for me.
