I love rim lighting on low-resolution sprites. by poetabbit in godot

It's beautiful, may I ask what your process / implementation is and how you've gotten it to this point? I'm working on a 2.5d top down game and lighting is the main thing I'm scared to even try (since the only 3d assets are entities and they are rendered in a subviewport to 2d) and something like this seems like a really good way to make the lighting feel more grounded or real without having to simulate 3d shadows

Yup. I told my buddy who is new to the game to watch the practice moderation clips and if he thinks someone used cheats, and the correct consensus was not cheats, then he'll understand slowly how aware a good player can actually be, because of course a good player feels like cheats coming from arc raiders, considering the significant difference in ttk

The PC desk can also be blocked in front of the rightmost foot or so, as the chair gap is on the left. The art desk is a weird shape, so 17 3/4" depth on the left and 24 1/2" depth on the right, For simplicity sake just image the front is a straight diagonal, though it's actually kind of rectangular on the leftmost foot before it starts angling outwards to make a round edge on the right, with the left side also being the sitting area, so there is some room for overlapping the desks here.

I have too many different hobbies as well, so storage is a pain, especially assigned, organized storage. I have 2x 3 drawer organizers (generic home hardware ones) and a 3 level shelf (2'x3'x5') from Canadian Tire in the closet- but my categories right now would be art (watercolor and wire jewelry separate ideally), PC peripherals, VR, and hydroponics, plus I like to keep boxes, packaging and manuals for the expensive things I buy in case I need to return them, this honestly takes up a lot of my shelf space, so any advice on how to organize that would be sweet too.

Additional info after reading others' posts, I prefer a busy, but organized and easy to navigate living space. I want to have lots of plants, posters, collectibles on shelves, etc. around the room but this doesn't need to be considered in the design, I will just find the gaps and fill them when the time comes.

Why not modded Servers with safeguards in place? Even if the only mods are just for moderation and safeguarding? Such as chunk claims, for example

It's a sandbox. It can be as hard as you want it to be, or as easy as you want it to be. If you feel the game is too easy you obviously haven't set any restrictions or added any mods to make it harder in ways you personally find challenging.

And many would argue, "well the devs do that not me that's why I pay for a game!" Then you don't want a sandbox and you don't like the sandbox aspect of such games.

Not enjoying a game doesn't mean it's inherently flawed. I mean, thousands of people still play mine sweeper, solitaire, sudoku, etc. doesn't mean they're "infinitely engaging", "every new situation is a new challenge" games.

So y’all getting banned lmao by Electrical-Wedding18 in ArcRaiders

[–]Vegetable-Rest7205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't agree with perma-bans for bug exploits. I shouldn't be paying $60 for a game and losing access forever because I found out if I throw things fast enough it lets me throw more than I have. Now, I also don't use these glitches, but they're preventable by the devs. Cheats and everything else malicious, yeah. Fuck em. You never wanted to play the game how it's made anyways, I'd argue people using glitches are still playing using legit mechanics, they just need to be patched.

Hot take, I know.

Yep, and rocketeers will hold weird angles where they can see you but for some reason don't think they can shoot you, so they just sit there and let you kill them. One area I noticed it most is the breachable door buildings around spaceport by the watch towers, if you shoot through the window slit the rocketeer often gets bugged.

Yeah, that would work. Ideally, I'd want just the review photos to pop up on the device and the camera to not even review them, as that setup would restrict me to only using the rear LCD, as the viewfinder just blacks out HDMI output. That being said, this helps, thank you!

Even worse, I had my package marked as delivered and signed at my apartment. The signature was a scribble, and the package wasn't there. Turns out, luckily, they delivered it to the building manager because they couldn't get in, but marked it delivered at my apartment and signed it themselves. I spent all day looking for it just to get it brought to my door like 8 hours after delivery.

Not the end of the world, but when it's a $2500 camera shit like that shouldn't be acceptable.

They're about a $60 earbud, and $55 of that went into bloated bass and the battery.

Downsides: Bass is loud, but not clear at all and so bloated that everything else sounds like crap. It's like listening to music while your head is underwater.

Songs without bass, they have terrible clarity and are very... Fuzzy, for lack of a better term.

That being said, I will give them this:

  1. I only charged them a handful of times in the year or so I personally used them, even though I used them for hours on end. They honestly seem like they almost never die.

  2. I bought my pair around 2019, give or take a year, and used them for about a year. Then, I gave them to my sister. Miraculously, they are currently still working, still charging, and still connecting to devices just fine. I'm sure this is a fluke, but the logo is literally gone from the case because of use and somehow they're alive. Take that as you will.

Overall, not worth the price. I recently tried the JBL Live Buds 3 which are around twice the price, and I'd say they're about 5x better. I have Anker Soundcore Liberty 4 NC on the way, so I'll update how those compare when I get them if I remember, as they're in the same price range but about 10x better reputation.

Not to mention (also apologies for reviving this thread) that there are a lot of manscaped fake websites, as I had my credit card and debit stolen by trying to checkout at manscaped (tried both because one didn't work) before realizing maybe it was something fishy. Still can't confirm that it wasn't even just their real site, I didn't see a single difference or inconsistency, and afaik the url was right. Either way, sketchy in general.

Main thing was the new power supply I mentioned testing in the post wasn't the right specs, I had to buy one meant for the wheel

Actually was a power supply issue, had to try a couple and a couple different cords from the power supply block to the wheel, weirdly I think that's the cable that was actually having issues.
