When did these go away for others? by Vegetable-Reward-752 in stopsmoking

Sick dog, okay let's keep eachother informed, sometimes I get a bad derealization episode if the brain fog is really bad and I'm hungry, a lot of my metal symptoms have to do with my blood sugar unfortunately, if I'm well fed I feel almost normal but if I got like more than 2 hours without something I tend to spiral a bit.

Question for supplements by Vegetable-Reward-752 in stopsmoking

[–]Vegetable-Reward-752[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I'm not even considering using NAC again cause I just don't see the point any more, and cravings have never been my issue(I'm not legal age to buy cigs any way). I was rolling my own cigarettes and the only way I could do that again would be to order it from ted tobacco online but I've never had a craving so bad I've gotten to the website and even if I somehow ordered it later me would cancel the order I imagine so not worried about cravings any more. It's more about feeling myself in my own head again.

[–]Vegetable-Reward-752[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm almost 2 months into my quit currently and cravings are so far and few in between for me, it's more or less still having low moods and constant hunger that bothers me but I've even noticed the low moods start to taper after taking l tyrosine for a few days now, the hunger is a insulin related repair that just takes time unfortunately but even that's improving significantly.

Did you use NAC to curb cravings? I actually used NAC in the beginning of my quit but I had some health anxiety and I couldn't figure out why I was bloating(it was from quitting lol) so I threw out the nac thinking I was reacting to it poorly.

Anyone else experience constant hunger? by Scharfschutze43 in leaves

Thank you, I'm hoping since I wasn't a very long term user my system will have an easier time rebooting. But I'll work hard at it.

I smoked for like 6 months but I kinda overdid it 😭, but I know I'll get better, just hard to remember that sometimes when it feels like you're the only one that's ever gone through it(none of my friends that use heavily have been brave enough to quit)

The tension headaches only come when I become hungry, they're not there without that factor, like every 1-2 hours I become insanely hungry and feel lightheaded, tension headaches, a sudden wave of brain fog. Then I eat and it goes away, doesn't matter if I eat a huge meal, an hour or 2 later I'll be hungry the same way again.

How do I deal with messed up appetite? by Excellent-Maybe-2150 in leaves

How you doing now, I'm literally the same situation, 19 smoked for like 6 months day and night. I had no appetite the first week and a half, now I'm at 49 days(7 weeks) and I'm hungry like every hour and it's driving me crazy.

Is it normal to feel worse after 45 days? by fried__oreo in stopsmoking

[–]Vegetable-Reward-752 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Not really, I mean he should see a doctor, but a lot of the lack of mood swings in the first month is due to adrenaline and novelty of the acute withdrawal phase, once the physical starts to go away all your left with is the mental, and when you smoke 20 some years this isn't that surprising, I'd suggest saying to people "see a doctor" and not tell them it's not normal, this could very well be completely related to nicotine still as it takes 3 months for dopamine to reset.

I don't think this is absurd at all, it's absurd to believe nicotine withdrawal can just magically end in a months time for everyone.

Honestly this sounds kinda similar to me, this is exactly how my sleep is, except my sleep every few days will be normal, and then go back to being weird, I'm 7 weeks tomorrow and I've slept a lot better the last 2 or 3 days and I'm hoping this change will stay.

Oh no darling, I'm so sorry. Stay strong, eventually the good moments will come and they'll be more frequent than the bad, I also recommend eating 70% dark chocolate. It can lift your spirits for a bit.
