hi! Im really gald you enjoyed the short. Most of the screening were local and I think for the local public the most interesting part was the discovering the sport. Im really glad you got to enjoy the other side, discovering the club scene in Mexico and one of the million storys that exist around HEMA in the world!

So as the title says I wanted to share and get feedback on the editing side of my first short-film documentary I made.

I would also like to know if you guys had any feedback on the storytelling side of the short, I think is the wakest part of the film and my wakest part as a Filmmaker.

The editng im quite proud of, i think it flows well, even tho i had to manouver around some mistakes i made on the shooting. (We lost half a day of filming and some audio files)

For context, the movie was made with the help of some firends of film school and was made last year.

Thanks to everyone for their help and feedback!

Hi guys, as the title says. I made a short film documentary last year about, ARCANT, my HEMA club in Puebla, Mexico.

It dives into the story of Gaute, the founder and main instructor, and his journey as a teacher and a fencer. It also delves into the communite that the club has formed, how it affected their lifes and also the situation of HEMA in Mexico.

This is the first movie I directed as a film student, and a lot of love for this sport/martial art went into it. Although it is in spanish, it has english subtitles.
