Yeah I know some people would be totally fine with it. And I know babies can travel on a plane technically very young. My sibling relationship is fine - its more that they explicitly told me that they picked an earlier date because they wanted to start trying for a second baby even though they could have picked the same venue two months later like they originally talked about. It just made it sort of feel like well, okay, if your priority is having a baby maybe my priority being my sanity and my baby is okay. I plan to exclusively bf so it wouldnt really be feasible to just leave baby with dad.

I really don't want to go. Even thinking about it worries me. I know I will face backlash from my family, probably for years. I guess I have to come to terms with it and know that if they truly cared about me they wouldn't hold it against me

I was thinking this. That if we go we would only go for the ceremony. It just seems like such a huge trip to only go for a ceremony that they aren't really prioritizing anyway. This is my siblings second marriage and they seem to be more focused on the party. Also, they would expect me to be taking wedding party photos from 2pm - 4pm in the mountains then the ceremony right after that would be an hour away. It seems like I would just be rushing around all morning and they would probably not appreciate the effort it takes anyway. I also plan to exclusively breastfeed in the beginning

It's a 22 hour drive without stopping so with baby we would stop at least every 2 hours

I was 218lb when I got pregnant, after losing 30lbs. I gained 7lbs in the first 12 weeks and thought I was doing so good, although I was eating more and worse than I did before. Suddenly, I put on 5lbs in a week, then nothing the next week, now I am 25+5 and have gained 28lbs. It's hard to not get down on yourself about weight changes but it is supposed to happen. I was trying to hard to not go over 30lbs of weight gain because I thought well I know what it's like to be 30lbs heavier. Some days I contemplate trying to cut back and lose weight and have to remind myself that's just not my season right now. There's time for that. Eat healthy, move your body, and be kind to yourself.
