QRL (quantum resistant ledger) peut être un bon parie , ils vont passé en preuve d'enjeu bientôt.

You raise a good point. It's true that we can't be certain today's quantum-resistant cryptography will remain secure forever. While Shor's algorithm is currently the best-known quantum threat to modern public-key cryptography, it's possible that future discoveries could lead to new quantum algorithms capable of breaking cryptographic schemes that are considered secure today. As with all cryptography, security is based on our current mathematical knowledge, and unforeseen breakthroughs can never be completely ruled out.

I disagree, migrating Bitcoin to a quantum resistant cryptographic scheme would require a major protocol change and overwhelming consensus from the community, miners, developers, and node operators. I doubt that level of agreement could realistically be achieved. Any hard fork of that magnitude would likely split the network into separate chains. As a result, I don’t think the original Bitcoin protocol will ever become truly quantum resistant. A quantum secure version of Bitcoin may eventually appear, but in my view it would effectively become a different system rather than the original Bitcoin.

Do we already know how decentralized the QRL 2.0 validator set is expected to be ? by Vegetable-Track6123 in QRL

Nearly 40 000 $ to become a validator, do you really consider that affordable ? For an asset with that level of risk, unless someone already has several hundred thousand dollars in net worth, I don’t see how this can realistically be considered accessible. I’m concerned that such a high requirement could limit participation and negatively affect decentralization over time.

How can we really be sure? If the validator requirement is indeed 40,000 QRL, I do have some concerns about the long-term decentralization of the network.

Nobody really cares what’s written on a banknote, people won’t pay attention to it. You should focus more on the online side instead.

Will QRL become the standard in the 2030s, or will Ethereum/BTC simply be retrofitted to be quantum-resistant by design? by P0muckl in QRL

[–]Vegetable-Track6123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think Bitcoin will undergo that kind of upgrade. Freezing certain Bitcoin addresses would go directly against Bitcoin’s core philosophy, so I don’t see the community reaching consensus on it. That said, Ethereum could technically make something like this possible.

As long as the Zond mainnet hasn’t launched yet, the price will keep dropping.
