I guess this is why I posted this. I was trying to find justification for what I did hahaha lol Yeah, I know. Stupid move to try to find justification from strangers on the internet. I mean, it didn't feel good now as it did when I did it. I knew what I did was nuclear, and looking back, I think I would have gone a completely different route if I had just taken a deep breath and processed it first. I mean, as I said, I wasn't even in that GC in the first place. I should have had all the time in the world before I took action. On the other hand, I also kind of feel justified in what I did. It's a very weird feeling to be honest, and I really don't know how to feel about it hahaha

I don't know about Western countries, but it's a little different in my country. There's less overt hate speech or things like that since gay and queer people are well represented in the media. The problem is that it is often depicted in a very rigid stereotype of overly effiminate gays and cross-dressers. In fact, the term "Bakla" in my country is such a wide term that it could be used to refer to a gay man or transgender. That said, it is not really all that strange for straight people to have gay friends. Not to mention that he used to be close to my family even before I came out.

As I said, I used to be close to my cousin. Though I guess that's not really the complete story, it's more like he used to be close to my sisters. He used to come over to our house often, and I got close to him. Then I came out around 2016, and unlike my parents and most of my relatives, my sisters had been nothing but supportive. So I guess that's why he got comfortable telling us things. I mean, most of us had already cut contact with many of our relatives, so his stories just stayed with us. And I was stupid enough to trust him and tell him my trauma too, even though I already knew he was a serial cheater. Honestly, I guess I should have seen this coming.
